Chapter 86 — Seen Right Through

Years of Heartflutter Page 2 of 2

"Huh?" Yang Ce was instantly dumbstruck. He had just been praising her for not being greedy, and now she had immediately shown her fox's tail. Her one condition was greedier than any other condition could be.

"Well? Yes or no?" Seeing that Yang Ce had not answered, Xia Xue grew anxious. "Are you afraid of losing? You don't dare agree?"

"We'll talk about this another time," Yang Ce suddenly said flatly.

"Another time? Why? Are you going back on your word?" Xia Xue immediately refused to let it go.

"It's not that I'm going back on my word—it's that someone's coming." Yang Ce jerked his chin toward the direction on his right.

"Ah?" Xia Xue was startled. She turned her head and saw two burly men wearing face masks walking toward them.

"Who goes there?" Xia Xue barked sharply. "Stop right there!"

"Miss Xia, we've come specially to invite you," one of the masked men said.

"Invite me? Invite me for what?" Xia Xue eyed the two men before her with the utmost vigilance and shot back.

"My boss wants to see you," the masked man said without any expression.

"Who is your boss? I don't know him. If he wants to see me, why doesn't he come himself?" Even as Xia Xue said this, her hand suddenly darted out, reaching for the mask on the face of the man before her.

To be continued.
