Chapter 826 — You're Just Leaving?

The Blossom Guardian · Page 1 of 2

"No!" Gu Mengyao refused Red Hair's proposal outright.

"I don't want to use force. There's no fun in that." Seeing that Gu Mengyao did not know what was good for her, Red Hair grew somewhat angry.

"And I don't want to blow this out of proportion either." Gu Mengyao was referring to Wei Zhao—if she let Wei Zhao handle this mess, these people would probably all end up on the floor.

"Fine, then I'll give you another choice. One of you two races me. Win, and we forget this ever happened. Lose, and you both stay with me tonight!" Red Hair looked as though Gu Mengyao was already his for the taking.

Hearing her words, he took it that Gu Mengyao was afraid, and so he pressed an even more outrageous demand on her—who in this arcade did not know that Red Hair was the racing god here, with hardly a rival in simulation racing games?

"Oh? And what if you lose?" Wei Zhao had appeared silently behind Red Hair at some point and asked beside his ear, giving him such a fright that his scalp nearly exploded; he thought he had seen a ghost.

Red Hair whipped his head around, saw Wei Zhao, and snapped furiously, "Where did you come from, kid? You want to stick your nose in this?"

"I'm with them," Wei Zhao said flatly. "Answer me. What if you lose?"

"How could I lose?" Red Hair acted as though he had just heard a wonderful joke, gave a cold laugh, and spoke with disdain.

"If it's a competition, it has to be fair. They lose, they spend the night with you—and if you lose?" Wei Zhao ignored Red Hair's laughter and asked, still in that flat tone.

"They lose, they stay and keep me company; I lose, then naturally I keep them company, no?" Red Hair let out a great laugh, his voice thick with lewdness.

"In that case, there's no need to race. Let's go." Wei Zhao turned to Gu Mengyao and Shen Yushu. "This man is brain-dead. He can't even follow simple logic. Beating an idiot like this in a race would be meaningless anyway."

"Oh, I think so too!" Shen Yushu nodded in wholehearted agreement. With Wei Zhao here, she was no longer afraid of Red Hair.

Gu Mengyao also hid a smile behind her hand. Wei Zhao's words were a little infuriating, but this Red Hair really was being unreasonable—he had come over to hit on them first; they had not provoked him.

"Kid, you mean to say you're just going to walk away? Who do you think you are?" Red Hair was irritated by Wei Zhao's attitude. In this arcade he was a man of considerable reputation—who dared to deny him face? "Fine, then! You're not going anywhere either!"

"Don't go looking for trouble." Wei Zhao paid Red Hair no mind; he simply did not consider such a man worth noticing.

Now that Wei Zhao had arrived, Gu Mengyao and Shen Yushu felt their confidence return, and with Wei Zhao they moved to leave, one on either side of him.

"Brother Arrow Brand, how many game coins did you buy? Is it enough to play with?" Shen Yushu seemed to have already forgotten all about Red Hair, and she looked excitedly at the coins in Wei Zhao's hand.

"Damn it, hold them back for me!" Red Hair had not wanted to cause trouble in the arcade—the owner here had serious connections, after all—but Wei Zhao and the others were so arrogant that if Red Hair did not do something, he would lose every last shred of face today!

As he spoke, Red Hair reached out to grab Shen Yushu, but before his hand could even touch her, it was caught in an iron grip, leaving him unable to move so much as an inch.

"I told you, don't go looking for trouble. Can't you understand plain words?" Wei Zhao looked at Red Hair and asked coldly.

Red Hair struggled with all his might to break free of Wei Zhao's hand, only to find his wrist clamped as though in a pair of iron pincers—he could not move it at all! Terror rose in his heart. "Let go of me, you son of a bitch!"
