"Brother Guang, someone's making trouble in the arcade up ahead, and Brother Hong Mao has been caught by him. Do you want to go take a look?" Baldy said cautiously.
"Young Master Jun, I'm sorry, but I have to go check it out." Having heard from Baldy that someone was causing trouble in the arcade and had even caught Hong Mao, Bu Ruoguang couldn't very well ignore it. Though Hong Mao wasn't exactly one of his men, he was one of the pillars of Bu's arcade. He was a master of racing-sim games, and many people came specifically to challenge him by name, which had done a great deal to build the arcade's popularity.
"Oh, then let's go over and take a look together." A very handsome young man beside Bu Ruoguang put down his billiard cue and said, "Just playing billiards is pretty dull. A little excitement wouldn't hurt." Seeing that Young Master Jun showed no sign of displeasure, Bu Ruoguang felt relieved and said, "Since Young Master Jun is interested, shall we go together?" Young Master Jun's name was Zhen Yingjun. His father, Zhen Dazhou, was a well-known entertainment tycoon in Donghai City, with several entertainment centers under his control. His business was very much in the same line as the Bu family's, and the two families were currently discussing a partnership.
In Songshan City, Bu Tiandi was under Li Cihua's thumb, so there was no way to expand his business further, and Zhen Dazhou was in the same situation. He was doing well enough in Donghai, but the city was too full of ruthless players, so his growth had been checked as well. The two men hit it off at once and decided to set up a gambling ship somewhere on the sea between Donghai and Songshan, raking in enormous profits through an illegal gambling operation.
Of course, both of them had started out building entertainment centers, so they knew the gambling business well and understood its profit margins. A gambling ship out at sea was also relatively safe, could easily dodge inspections, and making money shouldn't be a problem at all.
It was just that Zhen Dazhou was clearly a much bigger deal than Bu Ruoguang. For this gambling ship, Zhen Dazhou would take the lead and Bu Tiandi would play second fiddle. There was no way Bu Tiandi could afford to build a luxury gambling ship on his current finances, so he would only take a small share; the lion's share would belong to Zhen Dazhou.
This was also why, whenever Bu Ruoguang was with Zhen Yingjun, he deferred to Zhen Yingjun as the boss, fawningly calling him "Young Master Jun" all the while.
Bu Ruoguang and Zhen Yingjun followed Baldy out of the billiard hall and into the arcade next door. Behind Bu Ruoguang walked a few thuggish-looking men, all his underlings. If someone made trouble in his place, Bu Ruoguang would never handle it himself—he didn't have the nerve. He would only bark a few orders and leave the rest to his men.
Today Bu Ruoguang had been determined to let Zhen Yingjun see what a capable man he was, so as soon as he stepped into the arcade, he bellowed, "Who dares to make trouble in my place? Are you tired of living?" Wei Zhao hadn't expected Bu Ruoguang to arrive so quickly, but since he was here, it saved Wei Zhao a lot of trouble. Clutching Hong Mao's arm, he looked up at Bu Ruoguang and said flatly, "He's the one. I caught him for you." "Gah!" The sound of Wei Zhao's voice made Bu Ruoguang freeze for a moment; then he looked over and realized that the man making trouble in his arcade was Wei Zhao himself. He silently groaned. What a mess. That Hong Mao really had no eyes. Of all the people to provoke, he had to provoke a great god like Wei Zhao. Wasn't he just asking for trouble with nothing better to do?
"Brother Guang, save me!" Seeing Bu Ruoguang come in, Hong Mao thought his savior had arrived and immediately started calling for help.
