Chapter 210 — On the Eve of the Breeding Convention

"Fine." Xia Yan stopped pressing the invitation. "If you get hungry, go yourself. Remember, it's on the tenth floor."

"Got it. Thanks." After seeing Xia Yan off, Shi Jin meant to rest properly and be ready for tomorrow's exhibition conference. First, though, he took out the research uniform Feng Jin had given him, intending to swap his Flame Demon coat for it.

The uniform was likely the same model as Lu Yan's. According to Feng Jin, it was made from top-grade tier-six materials, extremely expensive, and carried multiple effects including spiritual and soul enhancement.

Once his outfit was ready, Shi Jin yawned and took one last look at the situation inside the ruins space.

Eleven was practicing combination techniques built around Gigantification.

After Shi Jin had pushed Eleven's Gigantification all the way to "skill verging on the Dao," the biggest change—beyond letting Eleven become a hundred-meter behemoth—was that it had gained the special ability of skill gigantification.

In practice, this meant that if Eleven unleashed its Thunder Palm, it could pour out far more power measured by its gigantified standard: from a one-meter body it could send a massive thunder palm a hundred meters in diameter flying free of itself to crush the enemy—allowing a skill to exceed its original ceiling.

Shi Jin named it: Gigantified Skill.

Releasing a gigantified skill in normal form differed from releasing it after gigantification in that the energy cost was far smaller, while the might was hardly inferior.

It preserved the agility of a small body while gaining the explosive power of gigantification.

Compared with hardworking Eleven, little Crimson Eye was utterly at ease, lying in a pile of ice and roasting the taro-shaped nutrient snacks the Ginseng Baby had prepared for it, lazily watching the Bug and the Ginseng Baby as they studied new combination tactics.

"Mmm!" The Bug and the Ginseng Baby argued their case vehemently.

It held that it should seal the enemy inside Spatial Shackles, then use Teleport to shift the Ginseng Baby's mass-produced explosive energy fruits into the sealed space, and finally detonate the space and the energy fruits together—only then would the power be sufficient. This, it declared, was "Mmm-enemy-Ee-jee," the strongest tactic of all!

"Eeh!" But the Ginseng Baby thought this was too cruel and too utilitarian, unsuitable for ordinary battles—apart from Eleven, probably no opponent could withstand it—and that they would do better to use some flashy tactics instead.

For example, the "Eeh-formation-Mmm-enemy-bombing-jee tactic": they would simply fly up into the sky and drop energy-fruit bombs, conducting a bombardment.

Shi Jin saw right through it: the Ginseng Baby was doing this on purpose. It just wanted to fly. Otherwise, whether it was Eleven or the Ginseng Baby itself, either could pair with the all-purpose support Bug to cook up a pile of filthy tactics. Within the team, it seemed, it alone couldn't fly...

"Sleep..." Shi Jue stopped worrying about the pets' affairs and simply collapsed.

...

Early the next morning.

Shi Jin put on the research uniform. There was no real need for it, but for an occasion like this, it was better to wear something proper and formal.

"How did you rest?" Early in the morning, as Shi Yan, Zuo Heng, Hua Che and the others met up, the question came.

"Not bad." Shi Yan smiled. He now had the constitution of someone who could sleep soundly anywhere.

"Good. Let's go eat breakfast first, then head over as soon as we can. The conference starts at eight, and we're the second to present, so we need to prepare in advance," Hua Che said.

Chatting as they went, the group headed for the hotel's buffet floor. Besides Shi Jin and his companions, many members of the other breeding teams were also dining there.
