Chapter 417 — A Car Accident on the Road

The Blossom Guardian

"It's a bit embarrassing to say it out loud, but that's the truth. In this school... no, even counting all the street thugs out there, I dare say nobody can do a thing to that kid Wei Zhao! He isn't even afraid of a gun!" Zhong Yongliang said, trying to console himself.

"Since Liangzi here doesn't mind losing face, I'll speak up too!" Zou Ruoming sighed and began to rattle off his grievances one by one. "In front of so many classmates, and right in front of the academic director, Wei Zhao slapped me across the face. What could I do? I can't beat him in a fight. That kid is savage..."

Feng Xiaoxiao was a little dazed. It seemed her earlier investigations hadn't been thorough enough. Wei Zhao was this fierce, and she had actually planned to go head-to-head with him—was that even possible? It looked like forcing a confrontation was completely out of the question. Sure, she was pretty ruthless herself, a proper little hellcat, but Wei Zhao was even more ruthless!

After hearing what Zhong Yongliang and Zou Ruoming had to say, Feng Xiaoxiao no longer had any confidence that she could do anything to Wei Zhao!

"Doesn't this Wei Zhao have any weaknesses at all?" Feng Xiaoxiao frowned. "Do you two know if he has any soft spot?"

"Soft spot..." Zou Ruoming thought it over, then said somewhat gloomily, "I guess his soft spot might be Tang Zhi. If you did something to Tang Zhi... heh heh, little Sister Xiaoxiao, how about you look into it and get Tang Zhi out for me? I'll do the deed for you!"

Zou Ruoming still hadn't given up on Tang Zhi. His wish last time had failed and been ruined by Wei Zhao, but deep down he still hoped to make Tang Zhi his own. He didn't believe Wei Zhao would dare to kill him; once the rice was cooked, there would be nothing Wei Zhao could do, and wouldn't Tang Zhi just obediently follow him?

And for Tang Zhi's sake, Wei Zhao probably wouldn't give him any more trouble either.

"No way!" Feng Xiaoxiao refused flatly. She wanted to make trouble for Wei Zhao only so he would back down and then teach her how to drive and how to fight. If something really did happen to Tang Zhi, Wei Zhao would never teach her anything again—the two of them would become mortal enemies!

"Uh... then I'm out of ideas..." Zou Ruoming shook his head.

"I don't have any good ideas either..." Zhong Yongliang had even less idea what Wei Zhao's soft spot might be. If he had known, he would have made his move long ago—why wait until now?

Feng Xiaoxiao silently cursed the two of them as useless trash. Getting them here had been a complete waste of time!

On the way back to school, Wei Zhao was driving Tang Zhi. Because they were a little pressed for time, he took the fast lane on the left, but no sooner had they gotten onto the elevated bridge than he ran into someone driving the wrong way up ahead!

Wei Zhao frowned. There were cars on both sides; changing lanes on the spot was impossible, and their speed was too high—it would easily cause a disaster. Even if he didn't care about himself, he had to think about Tang Zhi!

Wei Zhao flashed his high beams, hoping to make the oncoming car return to the opposite lane, but what he hadn't expected was that instead of slowing down and going back, the other driver copied him and started flashing high beams too—and they were modified HID lights. If not for Wei Zhao's excellent eyesight, anyone else would have been temporarily blinded by the glare!

There was nothing Wei Zhao could do. At this rate, the two cars were about to crash head-on. Tang Zhi had already let out a scream of terror. Wei Zhao yanked the steering wheel hard to the right, then, while slamming on the brakes, sharply pulled the handbrake. The minivan whipped around in a sudden tail-slide, tracing a beautiful arc across the lane, and its rear end slammed into the side of the oncoming car's front.

Although Wei Zhao had carefully controlled the angle and force of the impact, it still produced a tremendous crash—but nothing happened to Tang Zhi's side.

Zou Tiandi had just gotten a brand-new BMW a few days ago, and his son had arranged a custom plate for him, a very flashy one: SBSBSB!

Originally, Zou Tiandi had wanted a plate full of 8s. He felt that this plate Zou Ruoguang had gotten him, with no 8s and no 6s and nothing but foreign letters, was a bit awkward. But Zou Ruoguang said plates like "888" and "00544" were out of fashion now—totally outdated!

License plates these days were all about individuality. Only a plate with personality could turn heads when you drove it out! Those 888 and 666 plates on the street had long lost the head-turning power they once had. The one that really turned heads now was this SBSBSB!

Zou Tiandi didn't think too much about it. Since his son said the plate was full of personality and very cool, he'd use it!

What he never expected was that once he put it to use, it really was flashy—the head-turning rate on the road actually approached one hundred percent, and some people even took out their phones to snap envious photos as souvenirs. Zou Tiandi's vanity was instantly satisfied!

Two drivers on the street were even so excited at the sight of his plate that they crashed straight into each other! This gave Zou Tiandi an indescribable sense of honor!

Even when he drove the wrong way, many cars made way for him—nobody dared to go head-to-head with him! But today he'd run into some blind fool who had crashed into his new car. Zou Tiandi flew into a rage at once, jumped out of his car, and went to yank open Wei Zhao's door: "Get the hell out here! Are you blind or what? How do you drive? With a flashy plate like mine, you still dare to hit me?"

Wei Zhao was stunned. He hadn't expected someone driving the wrong way to be so arrogant, and he couldn't help looking at the man's license plate. The moment he saw it, he nearly burst out laughing... That plate really was something else!

"What are you laughing at? Laughing won't do you any good, you little brat. You wrecked my new car, so hand over a hundred thousand yuan or you're not going anywhere!" Zou Tiandi had been in high spirits, planning to take the car out for a spin whenever he had a free moment, but then Wei Zhao had crashed into him. How many days would it be before he could show off his cool license plate again?

"You drove the wrong way and hit my car, and now you're asking me for money?" Wei Zhao looked speechlessly at the man before him, who seemed vaguely familiar. Where had he seen him before?

Wei Zhao had a good memory, but trivial small fry like this were not worth remembering, so for the moment he could not recall who this minor character was.

"How much can this crappy little bread box of yours be worth? Don't think I don't know you rammed me on purpose, pulling drifts on me too. Let me tell you, none of it will do you any good. You don't pay today, you're not leaving!" Zou Tiandi was not short of money, but he was furious today, so he meant to make things deliberately difficult for Wei Zhao. Who told him to wreck his cool car?

"All right, enough dawdling. You hit my car and I won't even ask you for money, so let's just go our separate ways. I'm in a hurry!" Wei Zhao got out, looked over his van, and found there was nothing seriously wrong, just a dent in the back, so he hammered at it a few times with his hand and pounded the sheet metal straight again.

"What's that supposed to mean? Trying to scare me with your strength?" Zou Tiandi was slightly taken aback at Wei Zhao's move, then pointed at him and demanded fiercely.
