Chapter 124 — The Reform of Songjiang Bus Factory

Years of Heartflutter Page 2 of 2

"Sound character. One of the brothers from the underworld, clawed his way up from the very bottom. Knows the rules," Hou Lin said without pause. "If you want to use him, Brother Yang, you can rest easy."

"Heh. Everyone says he's sharp, but you're no slouch yourself—I'd barely said two words and you'd already seen through me," Yang Ce said with a laugh.

"You flatter me, Brother Yang," Hou Lin said with an honest grin.

"All right. Put the kid through a bit more seasoning for me—if he measures up, I'll give him real responsibility," Yang Yanzhou said.

"Rest easy, Brother Yang," Hou Lin said with a nod.

After hanging up, Yang Ce let out a long breath. Feng Wanjiang was a problem. He had run the Songjiang Bus Factory for over twenty years; his connections were tangled deep and wide. Even if Yang injected capital into the factory, he could not simply strip Feng of his post—there was far too much that still required the man. And if Feng's intentions were crooked, Yang's investment might well go down the drain.

True, he could put his father forward as factory director, but for one thing his father lacked experience, and for another, all the foreign car-manufacturing groups had been brought in through Feng Wanjiang's contacts. Without him, it truly could not be done.

That was why Yang Ce had asked Hou Lin to look into Feng Wanjiang's character. If the man truly was upright and incorruptible, wholly devoted to the factory, then Yang Ce could set his mind at ease.

To be continued.
