Chapter 4091 — Miss Situ

The Blossom Guardian · Page 1 of 2

At last, a party of riders came from afar and halted beside the unconscious [Wei Zhao].

"Why have we stopped?" From within a luxurious carriage refashioned from a spirit-beast mount came a woman's voice, honeyed and cloying to the bone.

One of the accompanying disciples stepped forward to examine [Wei Zhao], then reported back: "Miss [Situ], we've found an injured cultivator, unconscious. What would you have us do?"

"Oh? A man or a woman?" The woman in the carriage, addressed as Miss [Situ], asked at once.

"A man," the disciple replied.

"Wonderful—I've worn out iron shoes searching for what I sought, and now it comes to me without the slightest effort! Carry him up here and let me have a look!" Miss [Situ] at once ordered the carriage door opened and stepped out with a dainty, swaying gait.

The woman's face was like a peach blossom, thick with powder and paint; her figure was hot and alluring, and her garments so thin and sheer that her tender body showed dimly through them. Even those who attended her year in and year out could not help swallowing secretly at the sight, and the wholly natural, wanton seductiveness that radiated from every inch of her was enough to rob a man of his aged life—no one could keep hold of himself.

"Search him thoroughly, see what sort of man he is." Miss [Situ] eyed [Wei Zhao] up and down, her魅 eyes like silk threads, and gave the order to her accompanying disciple.

"Yes." The disciple obeyed at once and ran his hands carefully over [Wei Zhao]. He found nothing at all—only a map, in whose corner was engraved the mark of the North Island Cultivators' Guild.

"Miss [Situ], if I'm not mistaken, this man must be a North Island cultivator. And judging by his attire, he should be a lone cultivator—unlikely to be a disciple of the North Island's Triple Tier Pavilion," the disciple reported.

"A North Island lone cultivator?" Miss [Situ]'s bewitching eyes curved at once into crescents, and she laughed coquettishly. "Then it's all the better. Lift him up and take him back with us."

"Miss [Situ], you mean..." The disciple asked for confirmation, somewhat uncertain.

Miss [Situ] smiled a charming smile and licked her vermilion lips temptingly. "It's decided—this is the one. No need to keep looking."

The disciple nodded quickly. "Yes. Then shall we treat his wounds? From the look of him, if he isn't treated, he won't last long."

"Mm, you have a point. Treat him, then—but no need for any fine pills. So long as he's brought back to life, that will do." Miss [Situ] gave the order offhandedly, then tossed out a third-grade Great Return Pill.

The disciple caught it hurriedly, forced it into [Wei Zhao]'s mouth, and had him thrown onto a spirit-beast cart behind them. Then he asked again, "Miss [Situ], shall we head back now?"

"Of course—we set out for Middle Island at once!" A note of impatient excitement had crept into Miss [Situ]'s tone.

"Yes!" The disciple at once had the party turn around and retrace the road by which they had come.

Though [Wei Zhao]'s body remained unconscious, his primordial spirit, nursed within the jade pendant's space, had by now recovered almost fully. Relying on his divine sense, he had every detail of this clear as day.

"From the sound of Miss [Situ]'s tone, could there be some unspeakable business? She doesn't feel like a good woman of pure heart—loading me onto this carriage seems to be for some other purpose. There are even guards clearing the way, and everyone calls her 'Miss'—why does it feel as though I've gone back to the ancient days?" [Wei Zhao] could not help but wonder to himself.

Still, the woman had fed him a third-grade Great Return Pill, and that had been a great help to him. His primordial spirit had recovered, but healing the wounds of his flesh still required time and careful self-cultivation; this third-grade Great Return Pill would help him recover from his bodily injuries all the faster.
