Ying Ziyu frowned. To be honest, she did not want to trouble Wei Zhao over such a trifling matter—Wei Zhao was not in Songshan City at the moment, and coming and going would be inconvenient. So she thought of Li Cihua. Li Cihua was a big shot in Songshan City, and Ying Ziyu had his contact information; she had simply never used it.
"I'll ask Li Cihua and see," Ying Ziyu said. Unless it was truly necessary, she did not want to bother Wei Zhao over something so small—it would look as though she and Chen Xi were forever tangled up in one mess after another.
"That works too. Brother Cihua stands about as high as Chen Bawang; his word ought to carry weight," Zou Ruoming nodded.
So Ying Ziyu called Li Cihua and told him everything that had happened on her end. Li Cihua did not refuse; he only said he would look into it first and get back to her shortly.
In truth, Li Cihua had no need to investigate. Since Ying Ziyu had said so, the matter was almost certainly true, and there was no need to look into it. He merely wanted to consult Zhao Qibing and see whether this favor should be done at all.
"Hello?" Zhao Qibing had just recovered and was lying in bed resting. He answered Li Cihua's call weakly. "Cihua? Didn't I say it already—no need to call me unless it's important. The business over there is entirely yours to decide."
"Young Master Bing, there's a matter here that needs your judgment," Li Cihua said quickly.
"Oh? What matter? It needs me?" Zhao Qibing asked.
"Yes, it's like this—Ying Ziyu has been harassed by Chen Xiaoba, and she wants me to step in and mediate. What do you think…?" Li Cihua asked cautiously.
"Who is Ying Ziyu? And who is Chen Xiaoba?" Zhao Qibing was taken aback. He thought for a long while but could not recall any such pair from his memory.
"Ying Ziyu is Wei Zhao's sworn sister. Chen Xiaoba is the son of the temporary underworld leader…" Li Cihua explained.
"Wait, what did you say? Ying Ziyu is Wei Zhao's sworn sister?" At the name Wei Zhao, Zhao Qibing suddenly perked up and sat bolt upright in bed. "Are you sure?"
"Certain. This is solid!" Li Cihua nodded. "Wei Zhao even took her out to have her hair done—he treats her well. At school, he had Zou Ruoming look after her, too."
"Hm—hahahahaha!" Zhong Yongliang burst out laughing. "A gift from heaven! A gift from heaven!"
"What do you mean?" Li Cihua did not understand why Zhao Qibing had suddenly started laughing. He could only venture, "Young Master Bing, do you mean we should do nothing—let that Chen Xiaoba harass Ying Ziyu and make Wei Zhao miserable?"
"Of course not!" Zhao Qibing said hastily. "We handle it—of course we handle it. But wait for my call. Wait for my word, and then send that Chen Xiaoba packing!"
"Right, understood!" Li Cihua was utterly baffled, unable to fathom what had Zhao Qibing so excited. But since Zhao Qibing had given the order, he would carry it out without reservation. He had always been one of Zhao Qibing's own men, and now Zhao Qibing was the heir to the hidden Zhao family—all the more reason to keep pace with him.
Zhao Qibing hung up and dashed out of the house at top speed. This time he had learned his lesson: he did not come alone. He brought a follower, Zhao Qi Fifteen, along with a wheelchair, and the lot of them raced all the way to Donghai City Engineering University in his car. They entered the biology department's teaching building and found Wei Zhao's classroom.
He knocked at the classroom door. Instructor Bai opened it with a frown, glanced at Zhao Qibing standing there, and asked, "Is there something you need?"
"Hello, teacher. I'm looking for student Wei Zhao," Zhao Qibing said politely.
"Oh. Wait a moment." Hearing that it was for Wei Zhao, Instructor Bai's expression eased a little. Wei Zhao was a student with special privileges and was free to skip class; anyone else would not be let out unless it was urgent.
