"What... did you say?" Wei Zhao was baffled by the fellow before him. "Who are you?"
"I am Little Black, the new boss of Fushan Middle School promoted by Brother Guang. Of course, before you two I am nothing but a little servant. Brother Guang has instructed me that in school I must supervise Miss Ziyu's studies, protect her, and let no one bully her. Please rest assured, Master Lin!" Brother Black thumped his chest as he promised.
"Mm... all right, go stand aside! There is nothing for you here!" Wei Zhao waved his hand, signaling that Brother Black could go amuse himself elsewhere.
"Yes!" Brother Black nodded hastily in answer.
Just as Wei Zhao was leading Ying Ziyu into the school, meaning to go look at her classroom with her, a familiar voice called out to him.
"Brother Wei Zhao, Sister Xiaoxiao, it really is you!" Chen Xi came running over happily. "I thought you looked familiar from afar, and when I ran over I found it really was you! What brings you here? Have you come to see me?"
"Chen Xi? You go to school here too?" Wei Zhao was rather surprised. This was something he had not expected, that a girl like Chen Xi would attend such a disorderly school.
"Mm..." Chen Xi had just nodded when her gaze suddenly fell on Ying Ziyu's face in front of Wei Zhao. At once Chen Xi clapped her hand over her mouth and pointed at Ying Ziyu in disbelief. "You... you are Sister Ziyu?"
When Ying Ziyu had seen Chen Xi running over, she had lowered her head, truly unwilling to let Chen Xi see her like this. Yet to her surprise, Chen Xi had recognized her anyway!
"Oh? You know Ying Ziyu?" Wei Zhao asked curiously. From the look of it, the two seemed quite familiar with each other.
"Mm, Sister Ziyu has always looked after me in school." Chen Xi nodded.
In truth she and Ying Ziyu were not very close. After all, Chen Xi was a good girl while Ying Ziyu was the big sister. They merely happened to be in the same class, and once when several boys teased Chen Xi, Ying Ziyu could not stand by and stepped forward to teach those boys a lesson. After that, Ying Ziyu declared that Chen Xi was her little sister, someone under her protection, and sure enough no one dared bully Chen Xi again!
The machete in Ying Ziyu's hand was no joke, and no one dared provoke her! Though Chen Xi was pretty, Ying Ziyu was pretty too, and no one was fool enough to court death!
"Oh, that is perfect. From today on, Ying Ziyu means to study hard. Chen Xi, since you are classmates, help her with her studies. I have bought her a whole pile of review materials. You can read them together!" Wei Zhao knew Chen Xi's family circumstances. She likely could not ordinarily afford study materials, or she would not have stayed in this delinquent-ridden school for lack of money to transfer.
So it worked out well. Chen Xi could study the materials together with Ying Ziyu, and where Ying Ziyu did not understand she could ask Chen Xi.
