Chapter 711 — Xiaoyezi's Love

Years of Heartflutter · Page 1 of 2

"Trouble? Not at all!" Liu Yu waved a hand hastily. "By the way, what are you going to do now? Is there anything else I can help with?"

"No, that's all... go and rest," Yiyi said with a smile.

"And you? Are you resting too?" Liu Yu asked in return.

"No, I still have things to do." Yiyi shook her head. "I need to wash clothes."

"Perfect, I was just about to wash some clothes too. Let's do it together!" Liu Yu said, as naturally as could be.

"Well... all right then!" Yiyi nodded and agreed. "I'll go get the clothes... the laundry room is over there, and there's a washing machine inside. Bring all your clothes over, and we'll meet at the door of that building in front—that's the laundry room!"

"Got it!" Liu Yu nodded hurriedly and dashed off toward his own villa. He really did have clothes to wash, though not many; but from the way Yiyi spoke, she probably had quite a pile on her hands, including some of Lin Ce's, so it would take her a long while. So Liu Yu decided to play the volunteer—going from villa to villa, knocking on doors, and collecting the laundry of Feng Yan, Xiao Susu, Yang Ce, Lan Ling, and Xia Xue, all so he could wash it for them too!

And so Liu Yu arrived at the door of the laundry room, clutching armfuls of bundles and bags of clothing—only to see at a glance that Yiyi held just two garments in her hands: a pair of Lin Ce's outer trousers and a dress of her own!

"Uh... why do you only have two pieces?" Liu Yu was momentarily speechless. No way—he'd gone to no small effort, and the girl had only two garments? He felt like crying without tears. He'd hoped to spend more time with Yiyi, but now it seemed impossible: she'd finish and leave, while he'd be here washing forever...

And once the clothes were done, there'd be no chance to go off and do anything else with Yiyi...

"That's right—when there are dirty clothes, I wash them right away. No need to save them up and do them all at once!" Yiyi said. "Since we can't go out shopping, all our clothes are sent over by Luoxia's people, so we don't have many spares in a year. We just wash them as they get dirty!"

"I see. But the clothes you're wearing now are lovely—plain in style, maybe, but they look wonderful on you!" Liu Yu said.

"R-really..." Yiyi blushed at once.

"Of course. I never tell lies," Liu Yu said. "Ah, compared to you, I'm downright miserable—all these clothes, how many months will it take to wash them all? It'll be the death of me!"

"Heh... then once I finish mine, I'll help you!" Yiyi thought for a moment. "You helped me before, so now it's my turn to help you!"

"Wonderful!" Liu Yu leapt three feet in the air, nearly flinging the clothes from his arms—but his movement was so wild that it gave Yiyi quite a fright!

"You..." Yiyi stared at the excited Liu Yu, not quite knowing what to do.

"Ha, it's just because you're helping me! So I got a little overexcited!" Liu Yu said.

"Oh..." A little embarrassed, Yiyi nodded.

The two of them went into the laundry room together and began to wash.

Liu Yu divided the clothes into three piles: one for himself, one for Feng Yan and Xiao Susu, and another for Yang Ce, Lan Ling, and Xia Xue.

He sorted them household by household, so that no one would find anything odd about the washing.

"Why did you divide the clothes into three piles?" Yiyi watched what Liu Yu was doing, curious.

"Isn't this Feng Yan and Xiao Susu's household? And this is Yang Ce, Lan Ling, and Xia Xue's household. The rest is mine—I'm a lone soul with no family, so I can only wash my own. I can't mix mine in with theirs!"

"I see. Then why don't you wash yours together with ours? That should be fine, shouldn't it?" Yiyi asked. "The water here is all filtered and stored on site. I wouldn't call it scarce, but there's always a dry spell or two in the year, so it's still best to use it sparingly."
