"Don't worry, Mom—we'll come by whenever we have time," Chen Shutang said politely.
Only after seeing Yang Ce and the three girls downstairs did Father and Mother Yang happily return indoors. Yang Ce would be leaving soon, but gaining three daughters-in-law was, after all, a happy thing.
After leaving home, Yang Ce drove straight to his godfather Liu Yan's place. This was also the first time Yang Ce had formally paid a visit with his three girlfriends in tow.
Yang Ce called Liu Yan. "Godfather, where are you?"
"At school—just finished a meeting." Hearing Yang Juehuan's voice, Liu Yan's tone turned casual.
"Oh? Godfather, you're still busy?" Yang Puqi was taken aback; he hadn't expected his godfather to still be at school so late.
"Just finished a meeting. Vice Principal Xu has been suspended, and his work is temporarily being handled by another newly promoted vice principal." Liu Yan said this and laughed. "You little rascal—to think you had such a formidable card up your sleeve, and another identity besides! You had me worrying for nothing!"
From what Liu Yan said, Yang Ce could basically be certain: Liu Yan would smoothly take over as principal. The newly promoted vice principal taking over Vice Principal Xu's work was already an unexpected delight—there was no way he could rise any further. The one to take over as principal could only be Liu Yan, the senior vice principal.
"My other identity is actually confidential too. There was no helping it—that's why I brought it out." Yang Moyi was a little embarrassed; after all, he had kept all this from Liu Yan beforehand. "I only just told my parents about it too."
Yang Cenbin said this so that his godfather wouldn't get any other ideas—because his parents had only just learned of it as well; it wasn't that Yang Moyi had deliberately kept it from him alone.
"I see. So can you talk about it now? When are you coming over so we can have a proper talk?" Liu Yan wasn't actually angry that Yang Ce had hidden these things from him; he simply felt that what Yang Ce was doing now was proper work, not anything bad, and there was no need to keep it hidden.
"Yes. I'm planning to come to your place to see you, my godmother, and Sister Xiaoqing. When can you get home?" Yang Moyi asked, a little embarrassed.
"I'm getting ready to tidy up and head home now. Your Sister Xiaoqing will probably be back a bit later—there's business to handle in her department too. That relative of Vice Principal Xu's has been running around lately trying to take over Qingqing's position as department head. But Vice Principal Xu has been suspended, and some financial problems have been uncovered with that relative as well. Qingqing is helping the school's disciplinary department handle the matter," Liu Yan said.
"Heh, all right then—we'll head over first." Yang Ce shook his head. He hadn't expected Vice Principal Xu to drag others down with him; it really was a bit of misfortune.
Yang Juehuan's car slowly drove into the school grounds. Not long after entering the gate, his phone rang.
Yang Ce took out his phone and saw it was Zhang Bin calling.
"Zhang Bin, what's up?" Yang Yanchuan said.
"Boss, where are you?" Zhang Bin's voice sounded a little anxious.
"I just got to school. What's wrong—is something the matter?" Yang Yanchuan said.
"Boss, have you seen the school's forum BBS? There's a challenge post from Fan Ce directed at you!" Zhang Bin said.
"A challenge post? What challenge post?" Yang Puqi was taken aback, not knowing what Zhang Bin was talking about. "He wants to challenge me?"
"Yeah, you didn't know?" Zhang Bin said. "The post hadn't been up long before it became a hot topic. Nothing else going on, so I'll hang up—Zhao Sisi and Wang Mei and I are off to have some fun..."
