Chapter 357 — Wei Zhao's Borrowed Terror
Since Wei Zhao already had his sights set on someone, they simply had to see to it that he got what he wanted—it would make things easier for them to maneuver.
"Brother Lin, rest easy. Leave this to me! Here in Songshan City, I still carry a bit of weight!" An Liwen said casually, then glanced at Manager Yang. "Manager Yang, is it that you no longer wish to give me any face?"
"Young Master An, it's not that I don't want to—it's that I have no way of calling those people back out of their private room!" Manager Yang smiled bitterly. "They're not the sort to be trifled with either..."
"Oh? Then you're saying we're the ones who can be trifled with?" Su Taizao flew into a rage and itched to slap Manager Yang. He and Brother An were two of the Four Young Masters of Songshan—was there anyone who dared deny them face?
"This..." Manager Yang could afford to offend not a single one of them, and could only smile bitterly.
"Brother An, looks like your face doesn't carry much weight anymore either. Maybe we should just let it go? I'm afraid things could blow up..." Wei Zhao said meekly, looking at An Liwen as he tried to talk him down.
"No problem!" Stung by Wei Zhao's words, An Liwen shot to his feet at once and said to Manager Yang, "I don't need you anymore. Just tell me which private room they're in—I'll go find them myself! In all of Songshan City, apart from my Brother Chen, no one dares steal a woman from me!"
"Room four-eighteen..." Manager Yang said. "Young Master An, I'll be going now. Whatever you do, don't say it was me who told you..."
"Get out." An Liwen waved him off impatiently, cursing the man inwardly as a coward. Then he turned to Su Taizao. "Come on—let's go steal a woman from under Brother An's nose!"
"Heh, you got it!" Su Taizao sprang to his feet as well, raring to go. Back in the old days they had done this kind of bullying more times than they could count, so they didn't care in the least and weren't afraid of any trouble coming of it. Ordinary folk, upon hearing the name of the Four Young Masters of Songshan, would always smooth things over on their own—no one would pick a fight or make trouble with them.
"Brother Lin, you coming?" An Liwen glanced at Wei Zhao, still seated in his chair. "A man ought to have a little fire in his blood. Even if you don't throw a punch, come watch from the sidelines!"
"Then... I'll come and watch!" Wei Zhao stood up, a little excited. "Actually, I've always looked forward to scenes with that kind of fire in them—it's just that before, I never dared..."
"Ha, no problem—just watch us when the time comes!" Su Taizao laughed heartily. "Watch how the Four Young Masters of Songshan put people in their place!"
Su Taizao too put on a grand, righteous air—only this way could Wei Zhao lower his guard, so that in a moment they could easily film him making a fool of himself.
"All right, then I'll play the fox borrowing the tiger's might for once!" Wei Zhao stood up and took two steps, then turned back and picked up a wine bottle from the table. "I need to bring a weapon to defend myself..."
"Ha—stick with us and that junk's worthless!" Su Taizao curled his lip. The name of the Four Young Masters of Songshan was far more useful than any wine bottle!
Wei Zhao stalked out in front, borrowing the tiger's might like a pathfinder. An Liwen and Su Taizao, however, exchanged smirks—the man's brains had clearly gone straight to his groin. He must be mad with wanting those twin top girls, otherwise he wouldn't be this excited!
Wei Zhao reached the door of Room 418, then stopped and waited for An Liwen and Su Taizao to catch up. Once they had, he kicked the door open with one sudden blow of his foot, his voice turning shrill with excitement: "Listen up in there! If you know what's good for you, send Xuexue and Huahua out to our young master—or else you'll be sorry!"
No sooner had he spoken than—bang—he hurled the wine bottle inside. It struck Li Cihua square in the face, sending blood streaming from his nose. In truth, Wei Zhao had deliberately made his voice shrill, afraid that Li Cihua might recognize it.
The moment he threw the bottle, Wei Zhao darted swiftly behind An Liwen and Su Taizao. As for his antics, the two of them paid them no mind, taking it as showing off—with a coward's timidity, borrowing their power for a bit of borrowed terror.
An Liwen and Su Taizao stepped into the private room. With Wei Zhao having set such a fine start, An Liwen pointed grandly at the two twin girls in the room. "These two are coming with me tonight! You have no objections, I trust?"
An Liwen had said such things often a few years back, and now the words rolled off his tongue smoothly. He looked at the so-called Xuexue and Huahua—sweet and lovely indeed, in no way inferior to the three girls Manager Yang had brought afterward. No wonder Wei Zhao had named them specifically; even he himself was tempted. If not for the need to film Wei Zhao making a fool of himself, he'd have loved nothing more than to take these two little things home himself!
Li Cihua was dazed by Wei Zhao's wine bottle. In Songshan City, someone dared to strike him, Li Cihua? Did the fool not want to live? The shouting voice had sounded a little familiar, but Li Cihua had no time to think it over—when he raised his head to look toward the door, he saw An Liwen and Su Taizao coming in!
Li Cihua assumed it was the two of them who had thrown the bottle, and flew into a towering rage on the spot! There were still fools so blind to death that they dared steal a woman from him?
"Beat them to death! Beat them good and dead!" Clutching his nose as it gushed blood, Li Cihua jabbed a finger at An Liwen and Su Taizao, and shouted in a fury born of humiliation: "Beat them till they can't even recognize each other!"
Though the two Earth-rank experts at his side had been killed by Wei Zhao, Li Cihua had no shortage of other toughs around him. Their strength might not have reached the Earth rank, but they were more than enough to beat two young masters who knew nothing of fighting!
The two bodyguards beside Li Cihua heard the order and lunged forward like vicious wolves, each seizing one of them, and without a word began to beat them soundly.
An Liwen and Su Taizao were somewhat dumbfounded. They were used to trampling on people and never considered the consequences; the moment they gave their names, the other party's only thought was to smooth things over. But today, the people in this private room had started beating them without even asking a question. Were these reckless hotheads who didn't understand the rules? Were they not afraid of the trouble they'd stir up — of biting off more than they could chew?
They thought only of themselves and never realized that this whole mess had been provoked entirely by Wei Zhao. If Wei Zhao hadn't smashed a liquor bottle over Li Cihua's head first, leaving his face streaming with blood, would Li Cihua have directly ordered his bodyguards to attack?
Normally, when An Liwen and Su Taizao went out, they each brought along a lackey who could fight — like that effeminate man the other day, who was Su Taizao's enforcer and had no trouble taking on three at once. But today, since the occasion was a dinner for Wei Zhao, An Liwen hadn't brought along anyone irrelevant, and only when it came to a fight did it suddenly dawn on him that their side had no one who could fight at all!
"Do you know who I am?" An Liwen panicked and tried to announce his name, but the other side's bodyguard gave him no chance to speak another word — a fist smashed into his mouth and knocked his teeth scattering across the floor, leaving him unable to utter a sound...
