Chapter 587 — Intelligence Exchange and Deployment

Blade of Dawn Page 2 of 2

In fact, even before this roaring "magical-industrial revolution," Typhon's economy had already developed to a fairly high level. Prosperous commerce and increasingly abundant material output meant the money in Typhon's hands constantly needed to circulate. Years earlier, Luo Yan Augustus had already organized his advisors to study this issue and reached the conclusion that a more advanced currency was needed. Now, Daniel's activities merely pushed Typhon's reform one step forward.

They would stride boldly into this mire and take many falls in it. In the end, through those falls, they would distill the right experience and reap enormous profits — and Cecil would learn in good time about every pit they stumbled into, and avoid them in advance.

Of course, doing so did not mean all was well. Hedy and her administrative council team would certainly still encounter problems unique to Cecil when promoting the new currency. But no matter what, accumulating some experience and lessons from Typhon, this experimental field, was always good — after all, Cecil's foundation was thin, and it could not afford to take a really hard fall.

After assigning the observation tasks, Gao Yang asked Daniel again: "How have Typhon's military movements been recently?"

"No great changes. Luo Yan Augustus has currently left Aldernan, and all Typhon's armies are on standby at their respective garrisons. Presumably, unless some major problem arises, these armies would not dare make the slightest unusual move while the emperor is away from the imperial capital."

"Very good," Gao Yan nodded. "Presumably they will make no moves until the Great Wall project is finished and Luo Yan Augustus returns to Aldernan... During this period, just continue carrying out your task, and do not take any out-of-line actions, to avoid arousing suspicion."

"Yes, my lord."

The exchange of intelligence was concluded.

Gao You adjusted himself into a relatively comfortable posture in his seat, scanned the people participating in this online meeting — including Mary, who had entered the Origin Space for the first time — and after slightly organizing his words, said unhurriedly: "There is one last matter — I discovered some things at the Great Wall."

He recounted his discovery in the Sentinel Tower, the vines he had seen in the Shadow Realm, and his suspicions about the Order of the End of All Things.

"...If the situation is truly as I suspect, then the infiltration of the Order of the End of All Things and what they are plotting may exceed our imagination," Gao Yang continued with a solemn expression after finishing his account. "Camille, come up with a plan for a magic-net terminal capable of connecting to the Sentinel Tower as soon as possible. The elves have already agreed to open their communication keys and transmission technology. Now we need to contact the Silver Empire's Elven Court as quickly as possible and have them organize forces to investigate all the Sentinel Towers. Hedy, issue another warning to Sacred Frost Roost in my name... Let us hope they can at least root out some of the End-of-All-Things cultists hidden within the kingdom."

Then he paused briefly and added: "Also, send the same warning to the Eastern Region."

Hedy was somewhat puzzled: "The Eastern Region? You mean Edmund?"

Her puzzlement was justified — according to intelligence Cecil possessed, that Prince Edmund Morn had likely already established contact with the Order of the End of All Things in secret long ago. Sending him this warning about the End of All Things was truly unnecessary.

Yet Gao Yan nodded: "Yes, Edmund. Send it to him — at least formally, this letter is necessary. And I am also very curious just how deep the connection between Edmund Morn and the Order of the End of All Things goes. If their ties are not so deep... then perhaps this warning letter could produce some unexpected effect."

Hedy nodded: "I understand."

Then Gao Yang looked at Daniel: "Daniel, as far as I know the three great dark cults have long had dealings with one another. How much do you know about the Order of the End of All Things' infiltration of the Great Wall?"

"Forgive me, my lord, my knowledge in this area is limited," Daniel lowered his head apologetically. "For many years past, my energies have been devoted to the study of the Secret Arts of Eternal Slumber, and I have not paid attention to the Order's activities. However, I have heard of one thing — it is said the upper echelons of the End of All Things possess a technique called the 'Dark Bridge,' and this technique seems to be connected to the Great Wall."

Gao Yi frowned slightly and repeated the term softly: "The Dark Bridge?"

"The Dark Bridge exists," said Pi Yun, who had hardly spoken until now, taking the initiative. "It is a means of communication — but as for the specifics, I do not know."

Pi Yun was quite well versed in the affairs of the Fellowship of All Things' End; this was no secret here. Although Gao Yang had never spoken of the old druid's former service to the dark cult, within this hidden space he did not mind sharing a few of the cult secrets he himself possessed.

"So it has a communication function..."

Hearing the intelligence Pi Yun laid out, Gao Yang murmured low to himself, then quietly sank into thought.
