"Think about it, Young Master Bao," Su Kesheng said softly. "If the ones we marshal are all our own Morning Star Academy disciples, then even if we kill that fellow surnamed Lin, so many of them discussing it afterward will surely notice something amiss. And if the higher-ups come to investigate in person, we might find ourselves in trouble."
"That's true enough," Bao Zuoliang nodded in agreement. "Using the Lightning-Baiting Banner to redirect others' tribulation lightning onto that fellow surnamed Lin—their own tribulations might well go awry, and they'd fail their breakthroughs for certain. One or two such cases could be called accidents, but if the numbers grow, it will surely rouse suspicion. With the kind of backing that fellow surnamed Lin has, those few higher-ups of our academy will never let the matter rest—Qing Xuanzi least of all."
