Thus no one knew how the formation had been constructed or how to repair it; they only knew how to use it.
And this formation could not be used many times; it was said to have a limited number of uses.
Ancestor Xuanchen made a gesture, and Kang Jingming had the trial participants file in one after another, entering what seemed like a teleportation corridor. Then the participants at the front vanished without a trace...
Wei Zhao, together with Xiao Che, Wang Xinyan, and Han Jingyi, were the last to enter, just before Kang Jingming. Once inside the corridor, everything before their eyes went pitch-black, but very quickly it opened up again.
Almost in an instant, Wei Zhao arrived at the Five Malevolences Mountain Range. Though he could not yet tell exactly where in the range he was, judging by the surrounding environment and the density of the Five Malevolences qi here, this was undoubtedly the Five Malevolences Mountain Range!
Drawing a deep breath, Wei Zhao said to Han Jingyi and Wang Xinyan, "You two are only here to soak up some experience. Don't get too close to the Five Malevolences Dragon."
"All right," Han Jingyi and Wang Xinyan nodded, then said, "Then be careful yourself!"
"I'll be fine," Wei Zhao said indifferently.
Right after that, Kang Jingming entered, followed by the many inheritors and the people from the inheritor sects. These people were all meant to accompany the inheritors into the Five Malevolences Dragon's cave and stand guard over them.
Although White Leader had not come, Tianchan was to stand guard over Guan Xin.
Once everyone had arrived, Kang Jingming and Zhong Yongliang led the trial participants to find a safe spot and hide themselves there. Wei Zhao gave a faint, cold laugh and signaled Wang Xinyan and Han Jingyi to hide over on Xiao Che's side. Xiao Che was clearly at odds with Zhong Yongliang and the others and had hidden himself some distance away. Wei Zhao trusted the man's character, so he sent Wang Xinyan and Han Jingyi over there.
The Five Malevolences Dragon's cave was somewhat steep. Tianchan led the many inheritors to take cover to one side of the cave, planning to wait until Wei Zhao lured out the Five Malevolences Dragon and then lead the inheritors in to seize the opening.
Although what Wei Zhao was about to do was somewhat dangerous, Tianchan was not especially worried. After all, whether it was her, Wei Zhao, or the Five Malevolences Dragon, none of them were dealing with one another for the first time; they were, more or less, old acquaintances.
Having settled Wang Xinyan and Han Jingyi, Wei Zhao leaped up ahead of the others. At this moment there was still some distance between him and the Five Malevolences Dragon's cave, so Wei Zhao could not see inside the cave, nor did he know whether the Five Malevolences Dragon had discovered them.
