"I find it strange as well. I keep feeling that those outside experts seem to have some connection to Kang Jingming—though what connection, I can't say for now!" Wei Zhao shook his head.
"Never mind—we'll deal with whatever comes as it comes!" Song Lingwei waved a hand dismissively. "The Five Luminaries Sect may be powerful, but after my brother-in-law wiped out several of their experts, there's not much left of them. Even if their Ancestor Xuanchen is formidable and comes in person, with me and Second Grandfather, plus my brother-in-law and that helper of his, wiping them out will be easy!"
"A little caution never hurts! Xiao Rui, don't get cocky!" Qiu Lingshan frowned in warning. She had noticed that Song Lingwei's confidence was swelling of late—she was relying too much on, and believing too much in, Wei Zhao's strength!
"All right, you both have a point. Caution is never wrong. But judging by the Five Luminaries Sect's strength, even if Xuanchen comes, we still stand a fighting chance!" Wei Zhao nodded.
