Chapter 3191 — Tang Yuqi Concedes Defeat

The Blossom Guardian · Page 2 of 2

Since Tang Yuqi had said as much, Qiu Lingshan naturally could not drive him away. If he wanted to stay, then let him stay—and it was plain to see that Tang Yuqi was a man of his word.

"Good, then we'll head back first. Auntie Wang, if you're not busy, why not come visit my villa? Lingshan knows the way," Wei Zhao invited. After all, back in Snow Valley, Auntie Wang had been of great help to Wei Zhao, and he had always been deeply grateful to her. But he also knew that Auntie Wang and Tang Yuqi had only just met, and she would surely want to stay with Tang Yuqi first to discuss matters. She could not possibly abandon Tang Yuqi to be a guest at his home.

"I won't go. Once things here are settled, I'll be heading back to Snow Valley," Mother Tang said. In truth, it was not a matter of being pressed for time; she simply did not wish to have too much contact with Wei Zhao, lest he recall the past. If that happened, all of Tang Zhi's painstaking efforts would have been wasted.

"Very well, then. We'll meet again when there's a chance," Wei Zhao said, not pressing the matter. He assumed Mother Tang was simply busy.

Qiu Lingshan went back alone, while Mother Tang and Tang Jucheng drove off with Tang Yuqi to find a place to catch up and discuss the matter of bringing Tang Jucheng's elder brother back to the country.

As for Wei Zhao, he drove Xu Shilan, Cheng Yiyi, and Shen Yushu back to the villa.

Dongfang Xiaocui was a woman with a loose tongue. After receiving Wei Zhao's forgiveness, the worried look on her face vanished completely. Not only that, she actually felt rather full of herself. There was no other reason: Wei Zhao had made a great name for himself among the ancient circles, and no one dared provoke him. Now that she, as the mother of Wei Zhao's underling Feng Shihua, seemed to have a connection to Wei Zhao as well, she felt she was quite the formidable figure too.

Dongfang Xiaocui's demeanor did not escape Feng Tianhu's notice. He was currently anxious over the matter of Wei Zhao, and when he suddenly saw Dongfang Xiaocui—a grasshopper tied to the same rope as himself—looking so happy, he naturally sensed something was off.

So, finding a moment when no one was around, Feng Tianhu stepped squarely into Dongfang Xiaocui's path. "Sister-in-law, you've been quite cheerful these past few days, haven't you?"

"Ah... Tianhu, what... what are you up to?" Dongfang Xiaocui was startled by Feng Tianhu's sudden appearance and asked hastily.

"Nothing much. I'm just puzzled. I heard that Wei Zhao is about to come knocking to teach you and me a lesson—so how can Sister-in-law still be so happy? I merely wanted to remind you, Sister-in-law, so we can discuss how to deal with it together," Feng Tianhu said, as if he meant every word.

"You... you're talking nonsense!" Dongfang Xiaocui had no guile in her at all. Frightened by Feng Tianhu, she immediately blurted out the truth. "Shipian called Wei Zhao! And Wei Zhao said he won't take it out on me. Even if he wants revenge, he'll go after the Dongfang family first, not me... so stop trying to scare people!"

"Oh?" Feng Tianhu feigned confusion on his face, but inside he was overjoyed. No wonder Dongfang Xiaocui had stopped being afraid these past few days and was smiling so merrily—it was because Feng Shihua had asked Wei Zhao! He breathed a sigh of relief at once, though on the surface he said, "Is that so? So that's how it is. Then perhaps I heard wrong?"
