"Brother Kang, you called Little Peach Blossom here—is that matter all settled? What do you need Little Peach Blossom to do?" Little Peach Blossom asked eagerly.
"It's like this: a very good opportunity has come up. I'm arranging for you to go to Doctor Guan's Pharmaceutical and become Kang Xiaofeng's secretary!" Kang Jingming said. "Kang Xiaofeng's previous secretary resigned, and the company is hiring right now. But it requires some knowledge of pharmacology—and you fit the bill perfectly. You have professional research in medicinal herbs and pharmacology, so I'm sure applying for this position will pose no difficulty for you at all! A secretary's work is just helping out and serving, and you're already the Young Sect Master's maidservant at the Xuandan Sect, so this sort of thing will be second nature to you!"
Kang Jingming had originally been racking his brains over how to get Little Peach Blossom over to Kang Xiaofeng's side and close to Kang Xiaofeng. "All right, I'll go apply right away. But the Young Sect Master's side—how am I supposed to ask for leave?" Little Peach Blossom nodded hastily and asked, "And so, this way, I won't have to let myself be taken advantage of?"
