Chapter 2854 — Still No Way Out

"Fine, I'm begging you—is there any way to get me out?" Seeing that threats didn't work, Wei Zhao could only pester him persistently.
"There really isn't." The ghost thing shook his head. "How about you call over a spirit beast that can fly, and I'll communicate with it and see if it can carry you up?"
"..." Wei Zhao was momentarily speechless. "And where am I supposed to call one from? There aren't any spirit beasts around here, are there?"
"Then there's nothing I can do. I'll go back into dormancy—whatever you do, don't disturb me!" With that, the ghost thing said no more to Wei Zhao.
"Old Jiao..." Wei Zhao looked toward Jiao Yazi.
"I don't have a way either. But cultivate a bit more—once you become a Heaven Dao expert, perhaps my memory will have recovered, and I might be able to summon a flying saucer, and then it could carry you up." Jiao Yazi said.
"Heaven Dao... flying saucer..." Wei Zhao's face darkened, and he returned to reality.
"What are you doing?" Yang Qiqi had truly been bored beyond boredom these past few days. Seeing Wei Zhao sitting there blankly, she asked, "Are you cultivating?"
"No." Wei Zhao shook his head. "I'm thinking of a way to see if we can get out."
"So have you thought of one?" Yang Qiqi asked.
"Not yet." Wei Zhao shook his head and handed her a grilled fish. "Here—the last grilled fish. It's done. You eat it!"
"Oh..." Yang Qiqi took the grilled fish and began to eat. After finishing it, she sat on the ground, glancing left and right, not knowing what to do. Suddenly she noticed the fish bones from earlier and began arranging them on the ground.
Anyone can eat a fish, but to arrange all the bones in order after eating truly takes some skill. The big central spine was easy enough—so long as it wasn't broken, it could simply be laid out there. But the bones along the back and belly were small and jumbled, and arranging them in order was much harder.
Yet Yang Qiqi laid out the fish bones one by one with great care—perhaps this was the best way to pass the time in her boredom.
