Chapter 2575 — Too Careless

The Blossom Guardian · Page 1 of 2

After a while, Chief Zhu came back, carrying two bags. Wei Zhao took them and glanced inside—one bag of papayas, one bag of milk. Wei Zhao's face immediately went dark. Was this really what he was supposed to bring when visiting two young girls?

Wouldn't this just cause a misunderstanding? Wei Zhao was well versed in medicine—how could he not know that papaya with milk was a breast-enhancing food? If he delivered this, Ying Ziyu and Chen Xi would be mortified with embarrassment.

Seeing Wei Zhao's expression turn sour, Chief Zhu immediately grew nervous. "Mr. Lin, in that supermarket, the only fresh thing I could find was the papayas. The other fruits weren't very fresh, so I bought a box of milk too. Did I buy too little?"

"Uh… you really don't know what these two things are?" Wei Zhao glanced at Chief Zhu, but then figured that a lifelong bachelor devoted entirely to cultivation research wouldn't have had the time to study breast enhancement anyway, so he shook his head. "Never mind. It is too little. You should at least buy some other fruits too, shouldn't you?"

Papaya and milk—if he delivered just those, Wei Zhao wouldn't be able to show his face. But with a few other things mixed in to balance it out, it wouldn't be so obvious.

"It's nighttime now, so there isn't much fresh fruit left. The grapes are still decent, though—some are rotten, but I can pick out the good ones," Chief Zhu said hurriedly. "How about I go pick some more?"

"Go on, then," Wei Zhao nodded.

So Chief Zhu ran off to buy grapes. This time he was gone quite a while—probably picking through them for ages. When he came back, there was an extra bag of grapes in his hands. "Mr. Lin, this is all I could pick out. Will this do?"

"That'll do. Let's go. I'll go see Chen Xi and Ziyu—you head home and rest," Wei Zhao said, locking up the car and heading upstairs with Chief Zhu.

"Yes, Mr. Lin." Chief Zhu went straight back to his own home, while Wei Zhao made his way to the door of Chen Xi and Ying Ziyu's room and knocked.

The door opened quickly, and it was Ying Ziyu who answered. Chen Xi was holding her hand over her chest, unable to open the door herself, which left Ying Ziyu caught between laughing and crying—she had gone out of her way to create an opportunity, and yet the girl was still being all shy and hesitant!

"Wei Zhao-gege, you're here!" Ying Ziyu said happily when she saw him.

"Mm. Since Xiao Xi is awake and I hadn't left yet, I thought I'd come back and check on you," Wei Zhao nodded. "I bought you two some fruit."

"Xiao Xi, aren't you going to take it? I'll find Wei Zhao-gege some slippers," Ying Ziyu said. Her eyes darted, and a plan took shape. Chen Xi was covering her chest, was she? Well, I won't let you cover it—heh heh heh. Thank me later, won't you?

"Ah? Okay…" Chen Xi hurried over and took the three bags from Wei Zhao's hands—but with only one hand, the other still pressed to her chest. This struck Wei Zhao as a little odd. What was Chen Xi doing?

But Chen Xi was a girl, after all, and not that strong. How could one hand lift three bags? The moment she took them, she nearly dropped them to the floor. Startled, she forgot all about covering her chest and hurriedly reached out her other hand to help.

With such a big movement, her little camisole couldn't hide much of anything, and two little white rabbits bounded right into Wei Zhao's line of sight…

Wei Zhao instantly felt awkward and quickly looked away, silently wondering why Chen Xi was dressed so scantily. But he didn't feel he was in any position to say anything—Ying Ziyu wasn't wearing much either, and since only two girls lived here ordinarily, dressing lightly was only natural. Why would they bundle up inside their own home?

He thought of how Xiao Shu used to walk around wearing nothing at all, and found he could understand well enough.
