Chapter 2316 — Who Exactly Are You? (Part 2)

Too many people had died by his fist for Big Feng to have ever learned the identity and purpose of every last one of them.
"Bang—"
A tremendous crash, followed by a drawn-out scream of "Aah—"
The one screaming was naturally not Wei Zhao but Big Feng. By now his fist had been about to smash into Wei Zhao's chest, yet a sudden, searing pain had erupted in his lower abdomen, and an instant later his body went flying backward for no apparent reason—as though the scene of him leaping out of the office chair were being replayed on fast rewind, and he was seated in that chair once more!
Except that he crashed down into it, with enormous force and a "thump," and the violent recoil burst the chair's gas-lift cylinder, which blew out and skewered Big Feng right where he sat.
"Awoo—" Big Feng shrieked again and dropped to his knees on the floor, tears springing to his eyes.
"..." Wei Zhao was rather speechless, thinking to himself that Big Feng truly was unlucky. All he had meant to do was kick the man back and make him cooperate quietly—who would have guessed the office chair's cylinder would explode and impale him there!
"You... what kind of expert are you?" Big Feng asked, staring at Wei Zhao in terror, one hand clutching his abdomen and the other his backside. Dense as he was, he now understood that Wei Zhao was stronger than he was—otherwise no single kick could have sent him flying. He simply did not know by how much.
Wei Zhao did not answer the question. Instead he asked, "Where is the Red Conch's headquarters?"
"Just kill me. Don't waste your time thinking you'll get anything out of me." Big Feng knew he could not begin to shake Wei Zhao's strength, so he simply stopped resisting. A single rank of difference was still a difference—especially with him wounded as he was. He was no match for Wei Zhao now.
And to betray the Red Conch—that would become a nightmare beyond all imagining! The mere thought of it made Big Feng shudder; it would be a life worse than death.
"Is that so?" Wei Zhao's gaze turned faintly cold. "I have not the slightest fondness for your Red Conch, so don't blame me for being cruel. This particular method is exceedingly cruel; I rarely use it. But for you people, I'll make an exception."
Wei Zhao's words sent a chill crawling down Big Feng's spine. He knew Wei Zhao would probably torture him to extract the information he wanted, but when he thought of the consequences of betraying the Red Conch, Big Feng still gritted his teeth and sneered, "Kill me or carve me up, do as you please. If you want to get anything out of me, don't bother trying."
"Oh. I hope you can still talk that tough in a moment—and that you won't regret it!" Wei Zhao said no more. His right hand moved slightly, and several silver needles slid into his palm; then he flicked his hand casually, and every one of the needles buried itself in Big Feng's body!
Big Feng was a Xuan-rank expert with true qi to shield his body, but he was injured now, and he had already resigned himself to death. He did not bother using his true qi as a shield—in his view, Wei Zhao outranked him, so even if he did shield himself, Wei Zhao could easily break through it.
Besides, rather than spending true qi on defense, why not leave himself undefended and let Wei Zhao finish him off! But how could he have guessed that Wei Zhao had no intention of killing him at all? Had he shielded himself with true qi, driving those silver needles into his body would have been a difficult thing; but since he did not, he had only made things easier for Wei Zhao.
He did not know what Wei Zhao meant to do, but surely it was nothing more than torture him, wasn't it? Big Feng clamped his mouth shut and said not a word, resolved to let the man do as he pleased.
But the very next moment, he sensed something was badly wrong—because what followed was an agony beyond anything he could bear!
