"Answer your phone first. We can talk about dinner in a bit." An Liwen waved a hand, motioning for Li Biaohan to take the call.
"It's Gao Lutong, the vice president of the boxing club." With that, Li Biaohan picked up. "Hello? What is it?"
"Brother Biaohan, someone's crashing our club..." Gao Lutong said, lowering his voice. He was thoroughly depressed—the distinguished vice president of the boxing club, of all people, had been threatened. If word of this got out, he'd be a laughingstock.
"Someone's crashing the club? Who?" Li Biaohan was briefly stunned. "Someone actually came to the boxing club to make trouble? You don't need to report this to me—just have someone teach them a lesson..."
"But..." Gao Lutong looked at his broken arm. Teach them a lesson?
"What? Does the troublemaker have some kind of backing?" Li Biaohan asked.
"That's not it... He crushed my arm, and he somehow took down the boxing club's Four Great Guardians too..." Gao Lutong said with a bitter smile.
"What?" Li Biaohan froze at Gao Lutong's words. "Who's this ruthless? From another club?"
"No, Brother Biaohan. Do you remember that freshman who went to the school leadership to rat us out?" Gao Lutong said.
"I remember. Didn't you take some guys and put him in the hospital? What, he found someone?" Li Biaohan frowned. He had gone out of his way to look into that fellow named Zhao Shengji before—the kid had no background at all. So how had he found someone this formidable?
"Yeah, the guy's seriously uncanny..." Gao Lutong said. "Brother Biaohan, he said he's not only going to deal with me, but he also wants me to pay him a million in compensation..."
"A million? He's got some nerve, all right. I, Li Biaohan, get shaken down every day, and now someone's shaking me down to my face?" Li Biaohan was furious the moment he heard it, but he quickly calmed down. "Xiao Gao, who did Zhao Shengji bring?"
"I don't know. He looked like a student too, but his face was unfamiliar—probably a freshman, not from any of the other martial arts clubs at our school." Gao Lutong did have some eye for this sort of thing. He knew everyone at school who could fight and was not to be provoked—hard cases like Zhuang Niaodao and You Panhu, he had all memorized. But this man really was a stranger. "Still, I secretly took a photo. I'll send it to you..."
"All right, you wait there. I'm coming over right now!" Li Biaohan had originally meant to treat An Liwen to dinner and build up their relationship, but he hadn't expected trouble in his own club—he had to go back and handle it himself. He hung up and said apologetically, "Brother Wen, there's a bit of a problem at my boxing club..."
"Oh? What's going on?" An Liwen asked.
"It's like this..." Li Biaohan then told An Liwen about the earlier business at school—the forced buying and selling, including the lesson taught to Zhao Shengji and Zhao Shengji showing up with someone to settle accounts...
"Your vice president, Gao Lutong—from what I know, he may not be a Yellow-tier expert, but his external martial arts are infinitely close to Yellow-tier, aren't they?" An Liwen asked.
"That's right..." Li Biaohan nodded. "He's someone I trust... I've been grooming him all along. This time I wasn't there—I don't know what kind of opponent he ran into, but the man's this strong..."
"So can you handle it yourself?" An Liwen asked.
"Let's see who the opponent is first..." Just as he spoke, Li Biaohan's phone chimed with a message notification. He hurriedly opened it and glanced at the photo—and his expression changed at once!
"What is it?" An Liwen saw something was wrong with Li Biaohan's face and asked quickly.
"Brother Wen, this man is actually Wei Zhao..." Li Biaohan's mouth twitched twice. He had never imagined that the one crashing the club would be Wei Zhao!
