Chapter 1789 — Set Off at Once

The Blossom Guardian · Page 2 of 2

Yet at this moment Old Man Wei's brow was tightly knit. Had it not been that he could not casually leave West Star Mountain Village, he would have gone to Snow Valley himself this time. But his situation differed from Er Goudan's: Er Goudan could leave, and so long as he did not exert his full strength there was no great harm—but Old Man Wei could not.

Still, letting Tang Zhi, Gu Mengyao, and Little Shu—three young women—go to Snow Valley alone truly left Old Man Wei uneasy. They were no **cultivators**, and could they really beg an Ice Spirit Sacred Fruit from an ancient sect?

"Old friend, these three girls... going to an ancient sect..." Old Man Wei turned to Mo Kongwu, hesitating to speak further.

"It will be difficult, but not necessarily unsuccessful..." As he spoke, Mo Kongwu swept a meaningful glance over Tang Zhi, Gu Mengyao, and Shen Yushu, and said with deep significance.

"Oh?" Old Man Wei was slightly startled. He knew Mo Kongwu to be a master of divination, deeply versed in the arts of the wondrous gates and hidden stems. If he said it was not necessarily unsuccessful, then perhaps there really was a way? But Old Man Wei could not fathom what way Gu Mengyao and the other two might have.

"To Snow Valley, the Ice Spirit Sacred Fruit is no supreme treasure; spend a little more money, and they will still sell it," Mo Kongwu said.

"Then what are we waiting for? Let us set out right now!" Gu Mengyao breathed a sigh of relief on hearing that money could buy it. But after she spoke, she glanced at Tang Zhi—after all, Wei Zhao was Tang Zhi's boyfriend, and she had shown herself too eager; would Tang Zhi read too much into it?

"Yes, let us set out now!" Tang Zhi thought nothing of it. "But where is Snow Valley?"

Tang Zhi had suddenly hit upon this very important question: none of them knew where Snow Valley was, so how were they to get there?

"I will draw you a route map; simply follow it on the road," Mo Kongwu said.

"Good. Then Yaoyao will drive, and I will help read the map from the passenger seat, and have Little Shu and Wei Zhao in the back to help cool him down." Now that Tang Zhi had heard there was a solution, she did not want to wait a moment.

Mo Kongwu found paper, brush, and a map, and drew a route for Tang Zhi and the others. "When you arrive, simply say you have come to purchase heavenly treasures. Snow Valley should sell it."

"All right, we set out at once!" Tang Zhi took the map, put it away carefully, and began to pack their luggage for the journey.

What had been a pleasant trip to the mountain village had unexpectedly run into trouble. Old Man Wei and Mo Kongwu helped lift Wei Zhao into the car, and they hurriedly left West Star Mountain Village.

The directions on Mo Kongwu's map were all along the highways; there was hardly a desolate or wild stretch, out of consideration for the girls' safety. After all, none of the three was a **cultivator**, and Wei Zhao was in a state of deviation and lost control. If they ran into trouble along the way, it would be hard to deal with.

This, however, would undoubtedly make the route somewhat roundabout and winding, but there was no help for it.

Old Man Wei watched the car's shadow vanish, a trace of worry flickering in his eyes.
