From what she had observed of him, this fellow always kept a card or two up his sleeve when he did things — and not just one or two, but so many that they left a person dazzled. Could it be that this time, too, Wei Zhao had some hidden card to play?
At this thought, a faint unease suddenly stirred in Bing Tang's heart. If that were so, did Wei Zhao truly have it in him to surpass the Heaven Rank and step into the Way of Heaven? And could he really become a first-grade Mystic Rank alchemist?
If Wei Zhao truly pulled it off, then would she have to make good on her promise and become his little-little-little-little-little wife? Bing Tang's face flushed faintly, then darkened at once. Impossible, surely? This fellow couldn't possibly be that formidable, could he?

Gazing at the tightly shut door, Tang Zhi asked nervously, "Sister Bing Tang, Wei Zhao won't be in any trouble, will he?"
"He shouldn't be..." Bing Tang did not know either. She had never taken the Qi Gathering Pill herself, nor had anyone in the Ice Palace ever taken one, so she had no idea what it was like after ingestion. Thus she could only give this vague reply...

She too had broken through from an ordinary person to the early Yellow Rank, and she had never kicked up such a commotion. So Wei Zhao's tremendous boom gave her a great fright: "Wei Zhao darling hasn't blown himself up, has he?"
"Yes, Sister Bing Tang, what's happened to Wei Zhao? Let's go and see quickly!" Tang Zhi was growing anxious as well.
Mother Tang and Xiao Ming were likewise deeply worried — Wei Zhao was their son-in-law, after all — and since they had no idea what that tremendous boom meant, they too looked to Bing Tang, somewhat at a loss.
