Wei Zhao didn't actually share a room with Gu Mengyao and Shen Yushu — that would be inconvenient and invite gossip. Little Shu wouldn't mind, but he feared scandal might follow the young lady, so he went to Kang **'s room instead.
Watching Wei Zhao leave, the young lady's face betrayed nothing — no joy, no sorrow...

Inside the Geili Fuyun Bar, Medicine King, Uncle Zhu, Leader Zhu, Zhao Qibing, and Li Cihua sat huddled together, hatching some scheme.
"Wei Zhao went to his class reunion. If I'm not mistaken, they'll definitely go mountain climbing tomorrow — that's the activity everyone who visits a resort picks for the second morning," Li Cihua said. He ran the entertainment industry himself, so he was well acquainted with how these places worked.
"Then we strike tomorrow morning!" Leader Zhu nodded, but cast an uneasy glance at Medicine King. "Medicine King — is what you said true? A normal venomous snake, after taking this Five-Step Qi-Scattering Powder, becomes lethally toxic while remaining unharmed itself?"
"I've studied medicine for this long — why would I deceive you?" Medicine King replied. "Besides, we're all Young Master Bing's people. This isn't just about avenging Second Brother Zhu — it's also about venting Young Master Bing's anger!"
"Good!" Leader Zhu nodded. "Anyone who takes this poison will have their true qi scattered, with no cure? And I hear Wei Zhao is some kind of divine doctor — what if he can neutralize the poison?"
"Of course there's a cure. But even though Wei Zhao's medical skills are impressive, in that remote little town, where would he obtain the ingredients? By the time he rushed back to Songshan City and found a cure, his true qi would have dissipated entirely, turning him into an ordinary person — and neutralizing the poison would be meaningless!" Medicine King said.
"Oh? This poison has no effect on ordinary people?" Leader Zhu asked.
"None. At most it stings a little and the wound swells for a few days — no real damage. That's exactly why a normal snake can take it without harm." Medicine King explained.
"Excellent! Tomorrow I'll find an opportunity to get Wei Zhao poisoned and turn him into an ordinary person — then dealing with him will be a breeze!" Leader Zhu nodded approvingly.
"Big brother, but doesn't Wei Zhao seem able to recover his strength? Last time, I heard his meridians were completely destroyed and he became a cripple — yet his meridians healed and he regained his power!" Uncle Zhu reminded him.
"Damaged meridians? There's the Meridian-Opening Pill — they can certainly be restored! Once the meridians heal, the strength returns with them. But this Five-Step Qi-Scattering Powder is completely different — it disperses every bit of true qi in the body, turning the person into an ordinary human!" Medicine King explained. "Second Brother Zhu — aren't you living proof of that yourself?"
Uncle Zhu thought about it and realized it was true. His worries immediately eased.
"Then it's settled. Tomorrow I'll find a way to have one of those Five-Step Qi-Scattering Powder snakes bite Wei Zhao!" Leader Zhu said with a vicious grin. "Once Wei Zhao's true qi is gone, he's a tiger without teeth — and then we can trample him however we please!"
