Chapter 1263 — A Chance Encounter with Li Cihua

"No, this place is too cheap..." Ying Ziyu shook her head vigorously.

"Cheap? So long as it can dye hair, what does cheap or fancy matter?" Wei Zhao frowned, none too pleased by Ying Ziyu's extravagance; but then he thought of the money Pangolin used to pull in, and reckoned her family could hardly be short of cash.

"Cheap dye can give you cancer!" Ying Ziyu pouted, speaking in an aggrieved little voice.

"Is that so?" Wei Zhao turned to Feng Xiaoxiao and asked.

"Mm, that much is true. Though once or twice shouldn't do any harm." Feng Xiaoxiao nodded.

"Well, if it really is a problem, then never mind—let's go somewhere upscale." Wei Zhao simply instructed the taxi driver: "Driver, take us to the most upscale hair salon in the city!"

"All right." The driver nodded. For men like him, every high-class entertainment venue in Songshan City was known like the back of his hand—hair salons included.

Soon the car drew up before a very luxurious hair salon; the number of luxury cars at its door made plain that its clientele were all people of means.

Arriving by taxi, as Wei Zhao had, was rather uncommon; so when the guard at the door saw Wei Zhao and the others step out of a taxi, he was briefly taken aback.

But the guards here were of high caliber, rigorously trained, and did not look down on any guest; as Wei Zhao and the others came over, the guard greeted them with full respect and ushered them into the salon.

"Sir, are you here for a styling?" A service attendant came up smiling the moment they entered.

"Mm, dye her hair!" Wei Zhao hauled Ying Ziyu in front of the attendant. "Dye her hair black!"

"I see. Sir, do you have a reservation?" the attendant thought to himself that the little girl had probably dyed her hair behind her family's back and been caught by her big brother.

"No. Do we need one?" Wei Zhao was slightly taken aback.

"Without a reservation, sir, you'll have to wait in line. There are several customers ahead of you," the attendant explained.

"I see." Wei Zhao nodded, then casually raised his head and looked over the salon's lobby.

What Wei Zhao had not expected was that this place, too, was a Pengzhan Group property! In the salon's lobby he saw the Pengzhan Group logo. It seemed Gu Pengzhan had his fingers in a great many pies—no wonder so many people coveted his company's assets.

But since it was Gu Pengzhan's enterprise, Wei Zhao had no need to stand on ceremony. Never mind that he was himself now a shareholder in Pengzhan Group; his relationship with Gu Pengzhan and the eldest miss alone was enough to dispense with courtesy.

Wei Zhao took out his diamond membership card and handed it to the attendant nearby. "I have a membership card."

The attendant took the card and glanced at the tier printed on it; he was startled, and muttered inwardly: if you have a membership card, why not produce it sooner? Could this be your first time here?

"Sir, you are a diamond VIP; there's no need to queue. You may go straight up to the VIP room on the upper floor." Though the attendant grumbled inwardly, his manner was all deference. "However, the diamond VIP room is already occupied. Would an ordinary VIP room do?"

After all, Pengzhan Group issued very few diamond membership cards, granting them only to people with connections and to social notables; and for a subsidiary company of Pengzhan Group, one diamond VIP room was generally enough—it was impossible for all diamond VIPs to come spend money at the same moment.

But today was an exception: a distinguished guest was in the diamond VIP room, trying out makeup and hairstyles. So now that Wei Zhao had come, he could only be sent to an ordinary VIP room—they could hardly throw the earlier diamond VIP out. Besides, that earlier diamond VIP was of very distinguished standing as well...
