"Ah!" A gasp of shock ran through the spectators at once! In this underground arena, a man beaten to death was nothing strange — but a man sent flying through the air, spewing blood as he flew, that had never been seen before! This was the sort of scene you only saw in the movies!
And so the spectators broke into cheers once more!
Of course, no one present knew who Master Li really was. No one knew he was the man who had done away with Red Dragon. They all took him for a fighter of very low rank even now!
Seeing that Master Li was dead, Er Goudan did not linger. True, a death in this underground arena was common enough, but Er Goudan also feared that the arena's people might be driven to desperation and call the police. So before anyone could react, he leaped down from the ring and fled out of the underground arena like a puff of smoke, and was gone.
But just as he came out the arena door, a taxi happened to pull up not far away, and the two who stepped out of it were none other than Yunhai Shuku and his daughter Yu Yuanyuan!
The moment the two got out, they too caught sight of Er Goudan running out, and hurried to meet him. Yu Yuanyuan spoke first: "How are you? Did you see Master Li?"
"Run — I've beaten him to death!" Er Goudan said in a low voice.
"What? Beaten to death?" Yu Yuanyuan's eyes went wide, and she stared at Er Goudan in disbelief.
"Beaten to death!" Er Goudan nodded.
"The taxi…" Yu Yuanyuan suddenly remembered — they had already paid the taxi that brought them, and had not asked the driver to wait. She turned her head, and sure enough, the taxi was already far away!
Er Goudan scratched at his scalp, then reached out with both hands and scooped up Yu Yuanyuan and Yunhai Shuku, one on each side, and took off at a sprint.
Yu Yuanyuan was badly startled. She had never imagined that Er Goudan could run so fast while carrying two people. Was this fellow even human?
Yunhai Shuku was also somewhat stunned. He had never imagined a person could run this fast!
Er Goudan ran more than a kilometer without stopping before he finally came to a halt. To him, the weight of Yu Yuanyuan and Yunhai Shuku was nothing at all; he had carried wild boars weighing hundreds of jin and still moved as briskly as if flying.
"How do you run so fast? Are you even human?" Yu Yuanyuan, set down on the ground, was frightened badly. Clutching her chest, she pointed at Er Goudan, her face full of shock.
"I'm used to running in the mountains," Er Goudan said. "All right, I beat that fellow to death. He won't bother you anymore!"
"You really beat him to death? Aren't you afraid of getting sued?" Yu Yuanyuan had not expected Er Goudan to actually go and kill the man. At first she had not quite believed it, but seeing the speed with which Er Goudan moved like the wind, she believed it somewhat now. This man was no simple character!
"Didn't you say people dying in the underground boxing arena is common? Would they even call the police?" Er Goudan was startled too. "Will the cops come arrest me?"
"I... I don't know. Ai!" Yu Yuanyuan sighed. Although Er Goudan had not been hurt, in the end she had still dragged him into this mess! Though deaths from beatings were routine at the underground boxing arena and those people might not call the police, Yu Yuanyuan feared that Er Goudan had stirred up trouble and that the other side's people would come to take revenge on him!
