On the podium, Xie Yufeng had finished his self-introduction and was met once again with enthusiastic applause! He turned slightly, letting Li Panghu and Wang Congming step forward.
"My name is Li Panghu, Young Master Xie's personal guard!" Li Panghu made no attempt to conceal his identity, swaying his portly frame as he spoke.
"My name is Wang Congming, Young Master Xie's strategist!" Wang Congming likewise gave a simple self-introduction, hiding nothing about his role.
These two had transferred in alongside Xie Yufeng, their purpose simple enough — to serve as his retainers, to run errands when matters arose.
"Whoa—" A wave of exclamations immediately rose from below the podium!
These days, it wasn't unusual for a rich family's young master to appear at a private school like First High, but bringing two retainers along to school — that was rare! And the two retainers had openly declared their status as followers, which made the girls in the class rather envious!
This was what a real rich young master looked like — personal guard and strategist in tow wherever he went. So cool! This kind of thing only ever happened in those popular Hong Kong and Taiwan dramas!
"Yao-yao, he's got retainers too! But his retainers are nowhere near Chewing Gum Bro's — you can tell at a glance they're a pair of idiots!" Shen Yushu delivered her verdict on Li Panghu and Wang Congming outright.
"Maybe someone just likes bringing two idiots along with him," Gu Mengyao said. She wasn't particularly interested in whether Xie Yufeng had retainers or not — it had nothing to do with her.
Homeroom teacher Liu, however, frowned upon hearing Li Panghu and Wang Congming's introductions! He didn't know what background Xie Yufeng had — he'd only heard that he'd been recommended through a connection at the school, that he had considerable backing and his family wielded real influence, but as for what exactly they did, he had no idea!
But showing up to school with two retainers in tow, one personal guard and one strategist — Teacher Liu found that a bit excessive! After all, the chairman's daughter, Gu Mengyao, also attended this class, and he'd never seen her pull any special privileges, bringing guards and strategists to school!
In truth, the young heiress did have a personal guard and a strategist too — it was just that her guard was Wei Zhao, whose identity was not publicly known, and her strategist was Shen Yushu...
And below the podium, Zhong Yongliang and Gao Xiaofu were also analyzing the origins of this Xie Yufeng!
"Brother Liang, what's this Xie Yufeng's background? Why's he got two retainers with him? Doesn't that just steal your thunder all at once?" Gao Xiaofu said, sounding rather displeased!
Previously in the class, he and Gao Xiaofu had been Zhong Yongliang's right-hand men. Though Wei Zhao's arrival had weakened their standing considerably, before most classmates they were still figures of no small consequence. But with Xie Yufeng's arrival, Zhong Yongliang's radiance was directly overshadowed, which left Gao Xiaofu somewhat unhappy!
