Time passed minute by minute. Wei Zhao could feel with perfect clarity that the energy within General Valiant was growing weaker and weaker, and that the energy pouring into his own body was no longer as torrential as it had been at the start. He could not tell whether it was because the mending of his meridians had raised his capacity to bear it, or because General Valiant truly was at the end of its strength!
General Valiant, I hope you can hold on! Thank you for carrying me through this crisis. Once I have recovered my strength, I will surely help you recover yours!
The energy grew fainter and fainter, until at last not a drop remained. General Valiant too fell away from Wei Zhao's body and collapsed onto his bed, its life or death unknown...
"Whew!" At this moment Wei Zhao could distinctly feel the pulsing of energy within his body!
Recovered, truly recovered! Though the meridians in his body were not yet fully repaired, and even within the mended meridians the store of energy was very weak, Wei Zhao knew that he was not far from regaining his strength!
This feeling was truly comfortable!
Wei Zhao drew a deep breath, gathered General Valiant into his arms, and entered the jade pendant space!
In this way, once every meridian in Wei Zhao's body was repaired and he had surplus energy, that energy would, as he circulated the Xuanyuan Dragon-Taming Art, be channeled in an unending stream into General Valiant's body!
Thus General Valiant could be treated within the shortest possible time. Wei Zhao feared that once his own strength was fully restored, it would be too late to save General Valiant. And the advantage of this arrangement was that energy would be supplied first to General Valiant; once General Valiant had recovered its strength, he could then recover his own.
"Elder Jiao, my meridians are repaired!" The moment Wei Zhao entered the jade pendant space, he could not wait to enter a cultivation state and began to circulate the Xuanyuan Dragon-Taming Art!
Jiao Yazi glanced at Wei Zhao and did not disturb him. Everything could wait until the cultivation was over.
The energy in the jade pendant space was instantly roused by Wei Zhao and surged madly into his body! Yet the energy in the jade pendant space was more than a hundred times fiercer and more torrential than the energy that had come from General Valiant!
It was fortunate that Wei Zhao's meridians had already been mostly repaired; otherwise he truly could not have withstood such a terrifying rate of influx.
A strange flush began to appear on Wei Zhao's face, a sign that his body was gradually healing. Wei Zhao could feel that the injuries in his body seemed in that instant to have all begun the process of self-repair at once!
This was countless times faster than the earlier method of repairing his meridians one by one with General Valiant's energy!
The energy of the jade pendant space seemed inexhaustible, endlessly renewable. Wei Zhao was like a man just come in from the desert, desperate for water, greedily drawing the energy of the space for his own use!
As the energy poured in without cease, Wei Zhao's tightly shut eyes flew suddenly open, and a trace of joy surfaced on his flushed cheeks! Repaired, truly repaired! Wei Zhao could feel that every injury in his body was healed!
His meridians could once again store energy as they always had!
After his rejoicing, Wei Zhao did not stop, but closed his eyes again and continued to circulate the Xuanyuan Dragon-Taming Art. The energy in the jade pendant space still poured in an unending stream into his body!
