Chapter 631 — Choosing the Dare Would Be a Tragedy

The Blossom Guardian · Page 2 of 2

Su Taizao had already drunk quite a lot. Another drink and he would feel awful, so after thinking it over, he decided to take the dare. "I refuse to answer—I choose the dare!"

"Oh, wonderful! Finally a dare!" Shen Yushu clapped her hands in praise.

Su Taizao became all the more certain that Shen Yushu had done it on purpose. She wanted to watch someone do a dare, so she had deliberately come up with such a nasty question.

In fact, Shen Yushu really had just asked off the top of her head. Chen Yuxuan knew a little about Su Taizao's secret, but he would never breathe a word of such things to his sister. Shen Yushu's question was a pure stroke of blind luck—a blind cat stumbling on a dead mouse.

"Taizao哥哥, I command you to drink two bottles of red wine!" Shen Yushu said after a moment's thought.

"Gah?!" Su Taizao nearly leaped out of his chair! Two bottles of red wine? What kind of joke was this? The whole reason he had not chosen the penalty drink was that he did not want to drink anymore—and now Shen Yushu was ordering him to down two bottles of red wine? Was she messing with him or what?

But he had chosen the dare, and he could not take it back! Shen Yushu's demand was not all that excessive either—it counted as a normal dare—so he had no grounds to refuse.

Su Taizao sat there dithering, and Gu Mengyao could not help but smile at the sight. Shen Yushu really was good at tormenting people—wasn't this deliberately making Su Taizao regret his choice?

"Taizao, is two bottles too few? How about four?" Shen Yushu looked at Su Taizao innocently, as if she had had nothing to do with this nasty business.

What kind of joke was this? Four bottles? Su Taizao finally felt a measure of relief. Shen Yushu had only made him drink two bottles; had it been four, he would have drunk himself to death on the spot.

"All right, hurry up and drink, then we'll continue!" An Liwen's mind was entirely on the confession he would make in a little while, so he did not much care whether Su Taizao drank or not; he only wanted the game to hurry on.

Since An Liwen had spoken too, Su Taizao had no choice but to grit his teeth and down two bottles of red wine, then said, "All right, let's continue. It's my turn to ask! An, what I want to ask you is: do you have someone you've set your heart on?"

"Of course I do!" Hearing that Su Taizao had finally come to the crucial point, An Liwen began to speak with great relish, his words pouring out in a torrent: "The one I've set my heart on is my childhood sweetheart—Yaoyao! When I was little, I secretly adored her in silence, hoping that when we grew up, she would become my girlfriend, and then I would marry her and have children..."

"Oh, and do you want to be with Sister Yaoyao?" Shen Yushu suddenly cut in to ask.

"I do!" An Liwen blurted out without thinking, but after he said it, he felt something was off: "Gah?"

This was truly what was in An Liwen's heart; though this was indeed what he thought, he could not say it aloud! It was only that today he had drunk, and had been speaking with such relish that he had grown a little carried away, and so he had fallen into Shen Yushu's trap.
