"It's a bit embarrassing to say it out loud, but that's the truth. In this school... no, even counting all the street thugs out there, I dare say nobody can do a thing to that kid Wei Zhao! He isn't even afraid of a gun!" Zhong Yongliang said, trying to console himself.
"Since Liangzi here doesn't mind losing face, I'll speak up too!" Zou Ruoming sighed and began to rattle off his grievances one by one. "In front of so many classmates, and right in front of the academic director, Wei Zhao slapped me across the face. What could I do? I can't beat him in a fight. That kid is savage..."
Feng Xiaoxiao was a little dazed. It seemed her earlier investigations hadn't been thorough enough. Wei Zhao was this fierce, and she had actually planned to go head-to-head with him—was that even possible? It looked like forcing a confrontation was completely out of the question. Sure, she was pretty ruthless herself, a proper little hellcat, but Wei Zhao was even more ruthless!
After hearing what Zhong Yongliang and Zou Ruoming had to say, Feng Xiaoxiao no longer had any confidence that she could do anything to Wei Zhao!
"Doesn't this Wei Zhao have any weaknesses at all?" Feng Xiaoxiao frowned. "Do you two know if he has any soft spot?"
"Soft spot..." Zou Ruoming thought it over, then said somewhat gloomily, "I guess his soft spot might be Tang Zhi. If you did something to Tang Zhi... heh heh, little Sister Xiaoxiao, how about you look into it and get Tang Zhi out for me? I'll do the deed for you!"
Zou Ruoming still hadn't given up on Tang Zhi. His wish last time had failed and been ruined by Wei Zhao, but deep down he still hoped to make Tang Zhi his own. He didn't believe Wei Zhao would dare to kill him; once the rice was cooked, there would be nothing Wei Zhao could do, and wouldn't Tang Zhi just obediently follow him?
And for Tang Zhi's sake, Wei Zhao probably wouldn't give him any more trouble either.
"No way!" Feng Xiaoxiao refused flatly. She wanted to make trouble for Wei Zhao only so he would back down and then teach her how to drive and how to fight. If something really did happen to Tang Zhi, Wei Zhao would never teach her anything again—the two of them would become mortal enemies!
"Uh... then I'm out of ideas..." Zou Ruoming shook his head.
"I don't have any good ideas either..." Zhong Yongliang had even less idea what Wei Zhao's soft spot might be. If he had known, he would have made his move long ago—why wait until now?
Feng Xiaoxiao silently cursed the two of them as useless trash. Getting them here had been a complete waste of time!
On the way back to school, Wei Zhao was driving Tang Zhi. Because they were a little pressed for time, he took the fast lane on the left, but no sooner had they gotten onto the elevated bridge than he ran into someone driving the wrong way up ahead!
Wei Zhao frowned. There were cars on both sides; changing lanes on the spot was impossible, and their speed was too high—it would easily cause a disaster. Even if he didn't care about himself, he had to think about Tang Zhi!
Wei Zhao flashed his high beams, hoping to make the oncoming car return to the opposite lane, but what he hadn't expected was that instead of slowing down and going back, the other driver copied him and started flashing high beams too—and they were modified HID lights. If not for Wei Zhao's excellent eyesight, anyone else would have been temporarily blinded by the glare!
There was nothing Wei Zhao could do. At this rate, the two cars were about to crash head-on. Tang Zhi had already let out a scream of terror. Wei Zhao yanked the steering wheel hard to the right, then, while slamming on the brakes, sharply pulled the handbrake. The minivan whipped around in a sudden tail-slide, tracing a beautiful arc across the lane, and its rear end slammed into the side of the oncoming car's front.
