Chapter 353 — The Young Miss's Concern

The Blossom Guardian · Page 2 of 2

"That's right, we're heading over now! I've already booked a private room at the Starlight Radiance Grand Hotel. Let's go!" Fearing Wei Zhao might not know it, An Liwen explained, "The Starlight Radiance Grand Hotel is one of the most luxurious hotels in the city. We used to go there all the time!"

"And they have special services!" Su Taizao came over just then, clapping Wei Zhao familiarly on the shoulder with the air of one man to another, all tacit understanding.

"Is that so? Then I'll have to see it for myself!" Wei Zhao nodded, wearing an expectant look that said he understood perfectly. Inwardly he was sneering. Gu Mengyao had been right after all; these two were up to no good and meant to set a trap for him!

Seeing that Wei Zhao showed neither refusal nor distaste, An Liwen let out a breath of relief, and Su Taizao was quietly delighted. The only fear had been that he would refuse; if he agreed, everything was easy! There was no shortage of entertainment, and no fear he would not enjoy himself! But once the fun was over, he would have to pay a price... heh heh!

"Let's set off now! Ride in my car?" An Liwen asked, pointing at his Ferrari.

"No, I'll drive myself." Wei Zhao pointed at his beat-up old van.

"This..." An Liwen was taken aback. He had not expected Wei Zhao to turn down the sports car and drive a beat-up old thing instead. It caught him off guard, but since Wei Zhao was willing, he said nothing more. "Fine. Having your own car is more convenient anyway!"

An Liwen and Su Tai got in first and started the engine, heading for the Starlight Radiance Grand Hotel, with Wei Zhao following behind in his car.

The Starlight Radiance Grand Hotel lived up to its name as one of Songshan City's most luxurious establishments, combining dining, entertainment, karaoke, and nightclub all under one roof. Its parking lot alone was as big as a stadium.

An Liwen and Su Tai had already driven into the parking lot. Wei Zhao followed them in, only to be stopped by a security guard.

"Hey, deliveries go around to the back gate!" The guard glared at Wei Zhao. "Have you no manners? New here, are you?"

"Deliveries?" Wei Zhao blinked, realizing the guard had misunderstood. He shook his head. "I'm here to eat."

"Eat?" The guard was stunned for a moment, then burst out laughing. "You came to eat in that wreck? Do you have any idea what the minimum spend here is? One meal would buy that clunker of yours! All right, stop causing trouble and get lost!"

"I really am here to eat." Wei Zhao had no wish to argue with a lowly guard who judged people by appearances, so he explained, "Whatever the minimum spend is, that's not my concern. Someone else is treating me."

"Someone's treating you? Who would treat you? Come on, stop putting on airs and clear off. I've seen plenty of your sort — ten a day at least, if not eight. Here to steal from the parking lot, aren't you?" The guard gave Wei Zhao a contemptuous look. "Who'd treat you to a meal? Only if they'd lost their mind!"

Though his position was lowly, the guard was still a guard at the Starlight Radiance, and he could not help but feel he stood a cut above ordinary folk.
