Chapter 330 — Better Never to See You Again

The Blossom Guardian · Page 1 of 2

"Open your clothes? What are you thinking about?" Wei Zhao glared at the dazed, blank-faced cool chick and snapped at her.

"T-take off my clothes... still?" Yang Qiqi's words came out jumbled.

"Just bare your shoulder, that's all." Wei Zhao frowned. "Anyway, I've already seen what there was to see last time. I've got no interest in people who spend all day trying to repay kindness with murder."

"As if I care!" A flicker of annoyance crossed Yang Qiqi's cool little face, but she still pulled her collar down, revealing a shoulder white as snow... On that shoulder was a bloody hole, glaringly conspicuous — the mark of a bullet's entry.

"Save the nonsense!" Wei Zhao glanced at the cool chick's shoulder, lightly scored it with his dagger, then flicked — and a bullethead flew out, landing on the car seat.

Wei Zhao fished the powdered herbs he had prepared himself from his pocket, sprinkled them over the cool chick's wound, and said, "Don't put your clothes back on yet. It'll be better in a moment."

"Oh..." Last time, under Wei Zhao's care, her wound had miraculously healed fast — by that very night it had scabbed over and new flesh had grown in. So Yang Qiqi had complete faith in his methods.

And there was one crucial point besides: no scars were left behind, which Yang Qiqi found simply amazing. Though she was an assassin and getting hurt was an everyday matter, she was still a girl in the end, and girls always cared about scars on their skin. Once Wei Zhao sprinkled on this herbal powder, it seemed no scars would remain.

This powdered herb was something Wei Zhao prepared for himself; every time he went on a mission he would carry a little for emergencies. This mission, though, had promised no real danger, and he had thought he would not need it — in the end, it went to the cool chick.

After tending to the wound on the cool chick's shoulder, Wei Zhao turned to look at her calf. Yang Qiqi had already rolled up the trouser leg.

As before, Wei Zhao made a neat cut and a flick, and the bullethead flew out. He quickly sprinkled on the powdered herbs, and the bleeding stopped.

"There. Don't do anything this dangerous anymore — you're not cut out to be an assassin!" Wei Zhao said to the cool chick with earnest gravity. "Sure, you're cool, you look like a little assassin, but assassins are usually anything but cool. Look at me..."

"You..." Yang Qiqi stared at him wide-eyed. Weren't all assassins cool...? Even at home, Mother was always cool, always cold — only when she looked at Father did a smile appear on her face...

"All right, I'll take you back. The Kenhe Hotel, right? You give the directions." Wei Zhao gave Yang Qiqi no chance to keep talking; he turned, settled into the driver's seat, and started the car.

"Go straight from here... then turn right..." Yang Qiqi had no choice but to direct Wei Zhao, her cool little face written all over with gloom... Was she really not cut out to be an assassin? It had to be this big liar talking nonsense... Yes, that was it — he was surely afraid she would grow stronger and come to kill him one day! Hmph, it had to be that. Wei Zhao, just you wait — sooner or later I'll surpass you...

"At least you can remember the route — that much qualifies you as an assassin." Wei Zhao rarely praised the cool chick, and Yang Qiqi was about to cheer in delight when she heard him add: "But you're better suited to being a tour guide or driving a taxi!"

"You..." Yang Qiqi was furious. After all that talk, wasn't he just saying she was an unqualified assassin? Hmph — had he never failed a mission himself?

"Hey, what were you doing there tonight? Haven't you ever failed a mission?" Yang Qiqi asked, unwilling to concede.

"Went to bring someone out. You've already seen the person." Wei Zhao did not hide it. "As for failure — sorry, I really would like to know what failure tastes like."
