Chapter 211 — Golden Blood, Swordsman's Game

Temporary Worker in the Ninja Village · Page 1 of 2

"Here you go."

Orochimaru licked his lips, a flicker of gloating showing in his shard-gold serpent eyes.

"Do not use extreme measures to provoke this man."

Hearing that, Sabo glared at him, orange-red flames wreathing his body, his aura unsteady.

"Lord Orochimaru, are you... afraid of him?"

Wang Xu was strong; the official title of Absolute Justice proved a great deal in itself.

Justice will prevail?

Of course it will.

Because the victors are the ones who are justice.

But Orochimaru was not the sort of man whom sheer power could ever subdue.

Sabo had once heard this mad scientist speak of the Four Emperors with scorn and belittle the Seven Warlords of the Sea with contempt.

The man regarded the Celestial Dragons, the Five Elders, and the Commander-in-Chief of the World Government's three armed forces as less than ants.

That unparalleled sense of superiority carried a certain arrogance that, strangely, commanded belief.

Yet now, Orochimaru, who feared neither heaven nor earth, had shown a grave attitude toward a man like Wang Zhiyao, whose record was practically nonexistent.

That made Sabo deeply uncomfortable.

After all, this man had guided him into becoming a Reincarnator; in his heart, Orochimaru occupied the place of a master.

So when he asked his question, Sabo had employed a touch of provocation.

"Hm?"

Orochimaru gave him a smile that was not quite a smile, his tone faint: "You are right. I am indeed afraid of this man."

Fear springs from the unknown.

On the surface, it seemed Wang Xu had willingly revealed a great deal of information about himself.

But in truth, to a man like Orochimaru, he was riddled with mysteries that could not be fathomed.

His character: impossible to grasp.

His strength: unfathomably deep.

His authority: so high it had no ceiling.

"Wang Huai'an's identity is somewhat similar to ours."

"But he is more peculiar still. You may call him a Guide."

"If fate allows, you may meet him in other worlds one day."

Hearing this, Sabo's mood eased somewhat.

"Understood."

Leaving those three stiff words behind, Sabo turned and departed.

After a little preparation, he took some fresh water and dry rations and flew light and unburdened toward the Sabaody Archipelago.

Sabo wanted to see with his own eyes whether that so-called Absolute Justice truly deserved Orochimaru's esteem.

Revolutionary Army Station, Research Institute.

Orochimaru, who had been watching Sabo's every move, shook his head helplessly.

The young were always cursed with an ill-timed naivety and stubbornness, forever fond of doing things that meant nothing at all.

He took a wad of something like cotton from his pocket, stuffed it into his right ear, and said softly, "Vegapunk, how goes the research on that tube of blood?"

A reply soon came through the cotton: "Astonishing! I have never seen anything like it... more bizarre than a merfolk-human hybrid by far! Truly worthy of being called golden blood!"

As the two were discussing it, a third voice suddenly cut in.

"Golden blood? What is that? Gold-colored blood? Never heard of it."

"Tony Stark, do not interrupt at random on the biochemical channel. Your knowledge in this field is far too sparse; childish remarks like that will only lower everyone's opinion of you."

Orochimaru coldly warned the interloper.

Many people assume O-type blood is the 'universal donor,' but in truth the classification of blood cells is far more complex than that, with thirty-five distinct classification systems.

Extended across the endless planes, and accounting for merfolk, elves, giants, and other humanoid beings, there could be as many as one billion three hundred ninety-five million blood types in total.

Many life forms do not fall within the conventional ABO system, and their transfusion needs cannot be met by O-type blood.
