Chapter 573 — The First Upset

As for their battles, Shi Jin paid them no mind—not out of any lack of care for Mini Mecha and Duckie, but because their opponents ranked in the millions on the historical list of the God-Sealing War.
Not long after arriving on the Realm King Star, once Mini Mecha had preliminarily fused with the Dragon Orb of World Destruction, its strength had already been enough to suppress contestants in the top ten thousand of the God-Sealing War. And now, after full fusion, attribute allocation, and cultivation, against opponents ranked in the millions—honestly, all it needed was a single intimidation.
One intimidation infused with the Will of Destruction was enough to shatter the opponent's spirit and make them submit to the might of an overlord.
Duckie was much the same. After fusing with the Eye of the Evil God, a single intimidation sweeping out with its terrifying, abyssal malevolence was enough to scare a weak opponent into wetting their pants.
There was truly no need to pay attention to such battles—Shi Tan had faith in his beasts!
So, after sending Mini Mecha and Duckie off, Shi Jin and the others went straight with Eleven to the arena where it was to be teleported.
The arena was enormous, with ten teleportation arrays in all, each guarded by a staff member who had reached god level. Though all were only low-tier gods, should any conflict break out on site, that many god-level staff would be more than enough to suppress it.
Inside the arena, over a hundred contestants had already arrived early, each waiting in a different corner—some sitting, others leaning against the walls with their eyes closed in rest—the atmosphere heavy.
When Eleven and the pack of beasts entered, most people paid them little attention; a small number of contestants did look over and observe them for a moment...
"Hey, you—the black-and-white bear." Inside the arena, a furry-faced monkey in a combat suit, leaning against the wall, suddenly grinned and spoke up. "Why do you look so familiar to me?"
"Aren't you that Eleven? The opponent in your first match—isn't it the Void Raven Kahn?"
The match roster displayed the ID photos each contestant had used when registering, and Eleven's portrait was naturally among them.
"Hm? That's right." Eleven looked over, conversing in adorable universal language—a technique of manifesting telepathy into actual speech through the mouth, one that every beast on Shi Jin's team had long since mastered.
"Hehe, so it really is you. Knowing who your opponent is, you still dared to enter the tournament??" The furry-faced monkey laughed in disbelief.
Knowing the opponent was Kahn, and still coming to compete—wasn't he afraid of being beaten half to death and sent home? Healing didn't come free, you know.
Wouldn't it be better to just forfeit?
At this moment, as the furry-faced monkey spoke, the eyes of the entire arena converged on Eleven, and smiles crept onto countless faces—this unlucky fellow.
The originally grim atmosphere of the arena suddenly took on a hint of merriment. The schedule ahead was tense, but at least... they weren't as unlucky as this Eleven, running into the champion right off the bat.
And running into him was one thing—he'd actually gone and entered anyway, stubborn as iron...
Amusing.
Buggy and the others who had come in with Eleven laughed too—only they were laughing at these people for not knowing Eleven's true strength.
This was the number one Panda King of the universe—how could it possibly be defeated by some Void Raven?
"Roar!!"
"Quack!!"
Before long, Mini Mecha and Duckie came rushing over. Just as Shi Jin had expected, a single intimidation had instantly finished off their opponents, and seeing that Eleven hadn't left yet, they breathed a sigh of relief.
...
Time Essence ticked by, bit by bit.
A crowd of people had entered live room No. 2022 early, waiting to watch the Void Raven Kahn's match.
