Chapter 2834 — Parting Ways

The Blossom Guardian

"What kind of logic is that? 'Just me alone'..." Tianchan was caught between laughter and tears at Wei Zhao's words, though on reflection it made sense. Her breasts were probably the part easiest for Wei Zhao to reach; from his current position, they were within arm's reach, and if he were to try for any other part, it really would be rather difficult!

At that thought, Tianchan said with some helplessness, "Then hurry up, and don't take the opportunity to take liberties, or I'll let go and we'll both fall to our deaths!"

"I won't die from the fall. I can heal myself," Wei Zhao said.

"Hmph, even if you heal, I'll make sure you suffer!" Tianchan said.

"Then... I'm starting..." Wei Zhao's hand touched a patch of softness. Though he knew full well he was healing Tianchan, his mind could not help wandering into fantasy, and his body once again responded physiologically.

"Mind your weapon, or once I'm up there I'll kick it to burst!" Tianchan's face flushed red from Wei Zhao's prodding, and she spoke resentfully.

"There's nothing I can do about that. It just shows you're attractive," Wei Zhao said with a bitter smile. "Healing is what matters here!"

"Hmph!" Tianchan snorted.

Wei Zhao did not dare take liberties with Tianchan too brazenly. He circulated the second layer of the Xuanyuan Dragon-Taming Art and began swiftly healing her. Very soon, the wound on Tianchan's hand began to close, and in the blink of an eye it had become fair, tender skin once more.

"All right, all right, I'm healed. Let go of my hand now..." Being touched by Wei Zhao gave Tianchan an indescribable feeling all over, and she could not tell whether it was pleasant or unbearable—in any case, it was driving her to distraction.

"Oh... all right." Though reluctant in his heart, Wei Zhao quickly withdrew his hand, lest Tianchan call him a lecher.

"Phew..." Tianchan let out a long breath. Thinking back on what had just happened, she could not understand how she had managed to endure it. Had she really been touched into immunity? Tianchan shook her head to dispel such thoughts, then pushed off hard with both legs and leapt up once more, climbing toward the cliffs higher still...

After that, Tianchan was much more careful, and she did not run into the previous situation again. The two of them went on, stopping and starting, and in the end they climbed the Five Baleful Mountains without mishap, and both of them breathed a sigh of relief at once.

"We're finally up..." Tianchan said with some feeling. A peak expert of the late Heaven Rank was, in many circumstances, an existence beyond reach, yet in certain special places and situations, utterly insignificant.

This time, for instance—had Wei Zhao not been there, she could never have climbed the Five Baleful Mountains. Within those mountains, she would either have died or waited for others to come to her rescue.

"Heh, man and woman working together, the work's never tiring," Wei Zhao said with a smile.

"You're awful! I'll kick you to death! I'm a peak expert of the late Heaven Rank, you know. Now that we're up here, believe it or not, I'll kill the donkey once it's done its work and kick you right back down?" Tianchan said angrily.

"Believe it or not, I'll grab hold of you and roll right back down with you? The yellow silk between us is still there, after all—we haven't untied it yet," Wei Zhao said.

"Hmph!" Tianchan reached out and began to untie the yellow silk.

Wei Zhao obligingly helped her untie it.

Freed from the yellow silk's binding, Tianchan unconsciously wanted to stretch and loosen up her body—after all, she had been carrying someone behind her, which had left her whole body somewhat weary.

Wei Zhao had just turned and come to stand before Tianchan when he saw her stretch. The result was that not only did Tianchan's fine figure and curves come into view, but with no yellow silk binding her chest, her stretch sent her breasts leaping free of her clothes, and Wei Zhao stared, stupefied!

"You... what are you looking at?" Tianchan, mid-stretch, saw Wei Zhao standing before her with a vacant gaze and drool at the corner of his mouth, and she was slightly taken aback.

"N-nothing..." Wei Zhao started and hurriedly averted his gaze.

Even Wei Zhao himself was somewhat at a loss as to why he was like this around Tianchan. He had by no means lacked for beautiful women in ordinary times—there were two at home, one next door, and when he attended school, one sitting at the same desk. Wei Zhao had always believed his immunity and willpower to be strong, yet before Tianchan, all of it seemed to vanish.

Wei Zhao did not know why, but Tianchan held an indescribable attraction for him.

"Aha, you were peeking!" Tianchan suddenly realized where Wei Zhao's gaze had been fixed. She discovered that her chest was bare and that she had not yet had time to bind it again with the yellow silk.

"I wouldn't call it peeking, would I? I'm just standing right here—it was your own carelessness..." Wei Zhao said with a bitter smile. "Besides, I've already felt them and looked at them. It's no big deal."

"I don't want to hear it!" Tianchan made as if to kick Wei Zhao. "Forget it right now, and don't you dare mention it to anyone."

"Oh, heh heh, I've forgotten," Wei Zhao said with a smile.

"You're smiling so wickedly—you clearly haven't forgotten!" Tianchan snorted.

"I really have forgotten," Wei Zhao said with a straight face.

"Oh, so you take your fill and wipe your mouth clean, and then deny it?" Tianchan glared at Wei Zhao and said angrily.

"I..." Wei Zhao truly had a headache. There was an old saying that hit the mark: only women and petty men are hard to deal with. Now Wei Zhao did not know how to answer.

"See, you still haven't forgotten, have you? Hmph hmph!" Tianchan looked at Wei Zhao triumphantly.

"Are you testing me?" Wei Zhao was speechless.

"All's fair in war!" Tianchan laughed so hard she swayed like a flower in the wind.

"When you laugh, I see them again," Wei Zhao said.

"You..." Tianchan stopped laughing, turned away, and picked up the yellow silk. "No looking, you hear!"

"Heh heh..." Wei Zhao chuckled.

"What are you laughing at?" Tianchan asked.

"Can't I even laugh?" Wei Zhao countered.

"Of course not. Wait until I'm done, then laugh!" Tianchan said.

"Heh heh..." Wei Zhao chuckled again.

"You... you're still laughing? Believe it or not, I'll kick you right now—I'd rather let you look at me..." Tianchan, furious, turned around and made to kick Wei Zhao.

"All right, enough fooling around. Hurry and put the yellow silk back on. I won't look," Wei Zhao said.

Tianchan turned around somewhat gloomily and put the yellow silk back on. Once she had calmed down, she too felt she had carried on with Wei Zhao a bit too far. The old her had never been like this—she did not know what had come over her today.

"I... I'm going back through the teleportation array. What about you? Shall we go together?" Tianchan hesitated a moment, then said to Wei Zhao. Now that both of them had made it up, by rights they should part, yet for some reason Tianchan suddenly felt reluctant.

"No. You go on ahead. I still have friends here—I need to go find them..." Wei Zhao shook his head and said. RS
